so,did the weight of the GT go up,,how does a car w/ more power go slower than the older models.

Something is off with the testing (either too much slip, the on-board timer starts early, etc.) OR Kia changed the gearing to favor range (which seems exaggerated in the video) and it really is slower.
Weather, real world roads etc will all play a part.
Also if the car is now heavier.
