MotorWeek just shared their take on the Kia EV6 GT.
You know you can default the lower panel right? Hold on the HVAC or radio selection. It will eventually pop up and let you default it. I set mine to HVAC. Radio I use on upper screen if need, but 99% I just use wheel controls for audio..Loving everything except the touch screen for temp controls / radio and the speaker system itself. The touch screen is stupidly sensitive. The speaker system is one of the worst I've ever heard. My bottom trim 2016 prius is better. Can get used to the touch screen issue but will replace the speaker system or at least upgrade it ASAP.
Having access to a 2016 Prius with the base audio system in the family myself, I'm not sure about that. The Meridian Audio is definitely clearer. The bass isn't as strong, true but it's not as muddy at higher volumes than the Prius.Loving everything except the touch screen for temp controls / radio and the speaker system itself. Even with these settings, you will still be disappointed with this sound system compared to the Stinger's HK system. The system in the Stinger is one of the best, if not THE best, system I have heard in a vehicle stock. I also miss it.Thanks again. I'll give these settings a try. I think I got spoiled with the Harmon Kardon in the Stinger GT1 along with my old bags upgraded Burmester system in his Benz.
I've never heard a bad HK system. I wish they'd put one in the GT.Even with these settings, you will still be disappointed with this sound system compared to the Stinger's HK system. Mine with those settings hits just enough to make things rattle and only about 42-44 on volume. Was enjoying a bit of Warren G on the way home lastnight. Even via XM it was pumping. The Meridian system is definitely underwhelming. Only Ford puts in worse "premium" sound systems. The Bose system in our previous Sorento was waaaaaay better than this Meridian. I agree with the settings shown above for the best sound from the Meridian, but if you want any bass you will have to add something on.
True, but the HK system in the Telluride was a bit underwhelming also when compared to the one in the Stinger, but it was still way better than this Meridian.I've never heard a bad HK system. I wish they'd put one in the GT.
I noticed some rattles as well with bass pumped up a but. Upgrading the bass would require quite a bit of sound dampening.Mine with those settings hits just enough to make things rattle and only about 42-44 on volume. To be clear this was in my 1mos old 2023 GT. It sounds much better than my June 22 production GTLine did.

Hmm...I upgraded my subwoofer to an Active Rockville SS8P today and no rattles. Some serious bass now, wonderful!I noticed some rattles as well with bass pumped up a but. Upgrading the bass would require quite a bit of sound dampening.
The best thing about it is that it is tight, crisp sound, not buddy. As much as people complain about its lack of low end, this is an extremely clear and clean sounding system.I noticed some rattles as well with bass pumped up a but. Upgrading the bass would require quite a bit of sound dampening.
I think it was one specific song that made it happen, most bass hasn't caused rattles. How much did that cost?Hmm...I upgraded my subwoofer to an Active Rockville SS8P today and no rattles. Some serious bass now, wonderful!

With all these bass heavy headphones and other bass heavy speaker systems, I think I take for granted the strengths of this Meridian system. The best thing about it is that it is tight, crisp sound, not buddy. As much as people complain about its lack of low end, this is an extremely clear and clean sounding system.
About $100 from Amazon.I think it was one specific song that made it happen, most bass hasn't caused rattles. How much did that cost?
Wow not bad. Is it easy to install?About $100 from Amazon.
Lots of posts from @avh breaks it down nicely. It depends on your skills or maybe how close you are to the Charlotte area. 😀Wow not bad. Is it easy to install?
This. It's clear. Not quite B&O clear but it's not that far away. Even if it lacks the big thump, whatever bass it's putting out, it's clean and not muddy to my untrained ear.The best thing about it is that it is tight, crisp sound, not buddy.
