A cautionary tale

I just parked my car and decided to install updates via ota. As I was waiting for someone I sat in the car with window open
I live in Cornwall and as per usual the heavens opened. I'll just close the window I thought, but no, when updating software everything shuts down. I tried to start motor but msg stated that I will have to wait until conclusion of updates. Needless to say I got soaked. The update concluded just as the downpour stopped followed by sunshine and to rub salt into the wound the window automatically shut

Just need to add that the updates had already downloaded and it was the installation of updates that shut the system down not the downloading

I've just read your posts, and I don't know whether to laugh, or cry!
What Kia boffin decided that any owner/operator should ever get into that situation?
More untested stuff on our Kia EVs.

Glad it made you smile, looking back on it I think it is quite funny. My wife for whom I was waiting was even more amused which she confirmed by saying to me as I was drying myself down "you wanted an all singing all dancing electric car, fully automated by a computer, when you can't even navigate round your mobile phone"
She is quite right but I am still pleased with the ev3 and I thought it would be an experience before I hit 80 in a couple of years
Not so much a technophobe, more a LUDDITE 😁
