Waiting for arrival - and still considering whether I will accept - Yellow FE. Does anyone know whether the EV 6 has hardware installed for adaptive (ADB) headlights that can be activated by a software update when they become legal in the U.S. later this year? Word is that Audi, Toyota and others have done that - and are ready to send the upgrade.

Nope, the US models come with an LED reflector structure that does not have the capability for ADB.

Also, technically ADB is already legal in the US as of last week.

Someone posted in the Kia EV6 Owners Facebook group posted that in Sweden the EV6 has them and they're called "matrix" and other European countries have them as well. The question is will Kia add them to the US model for the 2023 model year because it's a safety feature or wait until a mid-cycle refresh in 2 or 3 years when changes are usually made to headlights and taillights?

I thought all the first editions have arrived already. You should check with your dealership.

I would be overjoyed if the delay (builds in March) resulted in adding adaptive headlights, but realize this is a pipe dream. However, I still hope that the headlight wiring supports a retrofit with the LED matrix. That is something I would definitely do as I really want this feature.
