Very curious about the effect you've seen on range going from the 19s to the 20s with wider tires, as well as handling. Thanks for starting the thread. I have a Wind AWD and am wondering about doing something like this when the OEM tires wear out.

Very nice. Did you order it with the mud guards or add them later? I've been looking for a part number.

Also, what difference did you notice with the Kumhos compared to the Continentals.
I used universal mud flaps. I like the look better than the OEM ones and I also like that I can adjust them for more coverage now that I have wider wheels. I'll get to that this weekend.

I have a wind all wheel drive so mine came with the stock 19s on kumho tires. I just bought the exact same tires in twenties, mostly because of price but also because they were very comfortable. I do think my next set will be a little bit sportier, at the risk of a slight bit more noise. These kumhos are very comfortable and soft so great for a daily driver but not that great for cornering.

Honestly I leave my car charged at 80 every night and I mostly just drive around town everyday (10-20 miles). I haven't done a long trip to notice any difference in range. I believe the impact is very minimal since even Kia doesn't claim different ranges between the models in all wheel drive

So many people
Mazda M012
  • Size: 20" x 8.5"
  • PCD: 5×114.3mm
  • Offset (mm): +45
  • Hub: 67.1mm
  • Finish: Matte Gunmetal
  • Weight (lb - approx.): 28
Nearly same specs as OEM... sit slightly out compared to OEM... but not poking past the wheel well.

I still need to replace the center caps 😂
Really love the color complements here. Nicely done.

Besides the size, I wonder if the styling of the custom wheels versus stock effect the range. Are the stock 19" and 20" more aerodynamic or basically the same as custom wheels? Trying to plan out any mods while I wait for my car.

Some small changes to my Eve :)

  • Wheel specs - Enkei TY5 Hypersilver 19x8 5x114.3 +40 72.6 Bore

Could’ve gone black/gunmetal, but wanted something to match the chrome accents and contrast with the dark paint. Flow-formed so low/mid 20lbs. Stock Kumho tires fit perfectly, shop said could’ve gone up to 8.5 if I wanted. Very very slight poke if not equivalent to poke on stock wheels.

  • Royal blue calipers
  • OEM mud guards
  • 30% ceramic tint on front windows
  • 5 year ceramic coat

Nice looking wheels. That is one sharp looking car, your going to turn a lot of heads:D. Does the car drive any different. Did you reuse your original TPM sensors?

Thank you! Yeah I reused the stock tires and TPMS

The lower weight of the wheels makes it seem like it’s more responsive and quick? But that could definitely be my bias.

Wow those wheels are weighing in a little over 20Lbs! I am thinking of getting EV01s and they weigh 28.5Lbs for 20" . How much did your OEM wheels weigh?

I don't know, maybe it's just me, so no intention of offending anyone, but I think the best looking rims for this car are still the OEMS ones that come with the GT Line AWD. They perfectly fit the look and design of the car. Yea, they're plastic, but they still look much better than any other I have seen in this and other threads. The rims in the pictures above are all very good looking rims, but in my opinion they don't fit the car. Again, might just be me...

I get that. style is a personal thing. I actually think the stock GT line wheels aren't bad looking. I think a lot of people that are on the forums are really into cars or/and the EV6 and just want to make it their own and be different. I think one thing Kia does (probably to keep cost down) is to not offer a whole lot of variety of style options to mix it up. So, given that some folks don't want to look like the same car on every street they modify it, me included;). With the EV6 being electric you can't really tune it so most mods come down to cosmetics.

I love the design of the 20” wheels and also the stock options they have over in Europe. If we had the ability to choose from some of those I think we’d all be happier too. It also comes down to that little extra bit of performance boost with custom wheels I think.
