There's only a tire life trade-off on the full-throttle launches. It won't be changed at all in normal driving. Tire life probably isn't a factor unless you are doing full throttle launches often in your EV9. That's the only way that extra .7 seconds is going to get to the ground in a meaningful way to wear the tires more.
