Make no mistake, this is a brand-defining moment for Kia. For a company that cut its teeth on affordable motoring for the masses, this premium, pricey and very electric EV6 is a Big Deal. So does the brand's first major electric vehicle play live up to the hype? We put it to the test to find out.
Have seen all these but great to have them in one spot, but will our Australia EV6 have a battery heater, winter mode (maybe to do a cheat battery heat up those cold ski field trips in winters if the temperature set points allow), and heat pump cabin heating or just PTC heater for cabin. I am guessing because of our "mild" climate, there will be no heat scavenging heat pump option and just PTC cabin heating, though. The car will work great either way, just not as really great as it might have been. Lots of tests going on above showing excellent charge rates can be had on an average 25 degree winter day, on the mainland at least. It is getting exciting now, although the uncertainty is a nightmare.
