Auto wipers wind RWD

So, we are fairly new with our EV6. On the wiper stalk there is an ”auto” setting. The rear view mirror mount appears to have a lot of things going on. Do we just have a wiper stalk that has an auto position or do we really have auto wipers?

"Auto" means rain sensing interval wipers,

As far as I can tell, it works just like regular interval wipers, except there's a rain sensor involved in addition to the interval high/low setting on the stalk.
But I thought US Wind EV6 did not have rain sensing wipers. I’ll be a happy camper if it does!
I left mine on auto and forgot about it. When I went to the car wash they started wiping once the water hit the windshield so I had to turn it off.
@DaveG The Wind does have automatic rain-sensing wipers! It took us some getting used to, but they work really well. I really appreciate how their frequency modulates with both the amount of rain and the speed of the car.

Just be sure to turn them off when going through a car wash.
To add to what everyone else has been saying, yes the Wind RWD has auto-sensing (I also have a Wind RWD). I want to also mention that don't forget that once it's on the auto you can still change the frequency of the auto setting using the extruded knob inside the shifter itself. IIRC there are 5 different auto settings for how quickly they run based on the level of rain & speed of the vehicle.

I’m so happy. I love rain sensing wipers. I was told by the dealer the Wind did not come with them. He also said there was no homelink, do we perchance have that?

According to the specs page on Kia's website, looks like HomeLink is not standard for Light and Wind trims; it is available as a port-installed option--meaning if you custom-order a Wind EV6 you could request to have it included. Seeing that you already have your EV6 in hand, then no it most likely does not have HomeLink; you'll know if your EV6 has HomeLink--just see if there are three buttons underneath the rear-view mirror.
DIY install is supposed to be easy.

It does and it does work.
