After many weeks of waiting our EV6 FE finally showed up at the dealer this past Wednesday and on Friday afternoon we decided to move forward with the purchase. FE #153 Glacier/Green. We didn't take it home on Wednesday because the car arrived off the truck with a very small dent on the back trunk/hatch door near the EV6 badge. However the dealership was very upfront about mentioning this the moment we arrived and they brought in a dent specialist to take care of it. It was a pretty soft dent which can easily be popped back into place with a high pressure suction cup. The very next day by lunch time they called me to say the car was ready. I had a really busy day at work on Thursday so that is why I didn't get to see the car in person until Friday. The car looked like it never had an issue in the first place. Perfect. I really got close and looked at the spot from various angles...nothing. So kudos to Carriage Kia for getting this right. Below I'm posting some still frame grabs from a quick phone video I took on Wednesday night when we saw the dent. It's the only visuals we had. But in those still frames I'm pointing out the dent. Then I have a couple of after shots.
The dealership honored MSRP straight off the bat and never really tried to push anything else on to us. We decided to add the cargo cover on our own as the wife really wanted to have this. It was also really cool to meet @EV61ED4ME and his wife as they were picking up their Glacier FE at the same time on Friday.
