Canadian Reveal - 27th July 2021

Join us virtually as we introduce the nation to the all-new Kia EV6 with an electrifying concert by Canada’s own Fefe Dobson.
On Tuesday, July 27 at 8:00 pm (EST), Fefe will plug in and light up the stage with a show‑stopping performance to celebrate Kia’s new brand and the launch of our first dedicated battery electric vehicle, the EV6.
Looks like the Canadian reveal will be next week. Hopefully we'll have more details on Canadian specs and not just a repeat of general information from what we've seen in March (Int'l launch) and May (US launch).

Is there a link to where we can watch this reveal?

Kia Canada shared this on Facebook. Apparently there's limited spots to join the livestream event.

Saying 'limited' is probably their way at attempting to boost registrations early on.
I wonder how limited it actually is.

So it turns out there was nothing of value, even if it was your first time seeing the EV6. We did get 1-2 seconds of the front, rear, the charge port and the charging indicator but that was it. And none of that is new to anyone reading this.

Welcome to the forum @HYPERION79.

I can't find any info on the actual venue. Just like most of us, I viewed it online. They did say it was a private event and clips that quickly show the crowd revealed not many were in attendance. I'd say probably 50 at most.

My best guess is that it was somewhere in Ontario since this Ontario based news outlet was able to attend. Below you can find photos they took.

Seems like all we got was the fact that Canada will not get the small 58kWh battery which basically means Kia does not intend to price this below $45,000 to qualify for the federal rebates. I suspect it's target the Mach-E rather than the ID.4

Also, we got trim levels - EX, EX AWD and GT-Line. There will be two AWD models - the EX AWD and GT-Line.
@KDMGuy Looking closely at the photos, it appears that Kia at one point was deciding between hard buttons or the capacitive buttons for the heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. In the prototype photos you listed, there's a zoomed in one of the centre console that shows physical buttons for those functions compared to the touch-sensitive ones we've seen in all other photos and videos. Neat.

Has anyone heard anything from their local dealers here in Canada?

Things have been very quiet. Although seeing UK-based reviews means Kia Worldwide is looking to meet its timelines.
Which means we may not hear anything until Dec or Jan at the earliest since that's our timeline for North America.
