Q re HUD and CarPlay. Does HUD work with CarPlay nav or just the built in nav? If only with the built in nav can you run both at the same time - like built in nav in the background for HUD?

Carplay/AA does not show up in the HUD, only build in Nav. I have not tried running both.

I can confirm Android Auto works at the same time as the in-car navigation, for music at least anyways, didn't try running 2 nav' systems at the same time. Can't see why Apple CarPlay would be any different.

I had the opposite experience with CarPlay. Starting the in-car navigation stopped my Google Maps navigation, and starting the Google Maps navigation then stopped the in-car navigation. This was on a GT-Line

I haven't tried it yet, but seem to remember from reading the 500 page "quick" reference guide that it's one or the other.

One nav at a time--in-car will kill Google Maps / Apple Maps etc, starting phone nav over CarPlay/AA will kill in-car nav.

If it's just being used for audio it works fine.
