Very cool, I'm definitely thinking about installing one of those Nature's Generators that wires directly to the circuit breaker, but most critical things (fridge, freezer, etc) are close enough to my garage that an extension cord will work in a pinch. Hope you get your power back on soon!

Actually mine was a pretty simple installation. My house is only 3 years old and everything is right there. The way the C/B panel is installed I had that nice depression to mount the Transfer Switch. Then I drilled a small hole through the stud and ran all the wires into the Panel. I would love to put SOLAR in my home but the current HOA covenants prevent that. Our HOA Board is not interested in hearing about it. I hope we will have some legislation in the future (like the satellite dishes) that will require them to let me do it.
Unfortunately my garage is about 60 feet from the circuit breaker and I would definitely need a pro to do it. They might be able to tap into the same conduit they used for my EVSE so it might not be too bad. As are as HOA goes, I know that pain and will never again live in an HOA neighborhood. I have found some of the most petty, power-abusing individuals in the HOA's that I have encountered. As the old saying goes... you give someone even a little bit of power and they will find a way to abuse it.
