Check your state's 'Solar Access Laws'. Some states have them and HOAs are not allowed to keep you from installing PV panels on your house.

Unfortunately Georgia is not one of those states!

Neither is SC but I live in the county and there is no HOA, so I happily installed 5kW worth of PV panels and haven't paid for electricity for four years by now - and that includes recharging my EV6 now and then.
