Here's some more info about the EV6 First Edition from Kia.

EV6 First Edition

In a first for the brand, Kia will offer a special EV6 First Edition available by advanced reservation at Kia.com starting June 3. Limited to just 1,500 units, the EV6 First Edition offers the styling of the standard design, which includes exterior details such as black wheel arches in a fully loaded package. The Augmented Reality (AR) Head-Up Display, Remote Smart Parking Assist, wide sunroof, 20-inch wheels, premium 14-speaker Meridian audio system and a two-year subscription to SiriusXM7 are among the upgrades in the EV6 First Edition, along with dual-motor AWD and a 77.4 kWh battery.

Three unique color combinations include Glacier with dark green seats, Urban Yellow with black seats, and Steel Gray Matte with black seats. The First Edition will be the only way to get the look of the Steel Matte Gray paint on an EV6 with the standard design while the Urban Yellow exterior color will be exclusive to the First Edition. Completing the aesthetic are illuminated door sills with the First Edition designation, along with a numbered interior badge highlighting the limited production volume.

Any details on what time the reservations will open?

Still wrapped in mystery or tbd. Gotta get the interest level stoked marketing probably better off with over subscription here. Would be interesting to hear how many between the 21k and 1k in Korea and UK actually get fulfilled.

Partial leaning towards the matte just not certain on the shade of gray but have always been happy with white and if I saw correctly, i do like the dark green seats. Any idea if the Glacier is actual Glacier or Glacier White Pearl (Pearlescent type) similar to Telluride and Sonet?
I wonder if Kia will offer free charging on Electrify America like the Ioniq 5? I have a o many questions that need to be answered :)

Good question unknown. Kia EUR announced partnership with Ionity, where the offers for specific models is reduced monthly/1 year subscription, credit voucher or reduced rates @ fast chargers.

Kia US plans remains unannounced but wasn't the EA Ioniq/Kona offer 250kWh or approx 1k miles? Maybe mistaken, but I thought the offer had a shorter shelf life expiring end of 2020 or could have been extended but better than nothing and to Kia's extended family.

On the flip side, as subsidiary of VW EA offers decent deal to ID.4 with 3 years unlimited charging, that's a cool selling point or incentive but I think somewhat related to penalties for a scandal so would be a reach if at all to offer to Kia. So EV6 will probably be more or less on the discount like in EUR as opposed to a multi year or long term freebie. Will look how the UK release goes for indicator of the route they take.

The Ioniq 5 was announced to have 2 years of unlimted 30 minute charging sessions… I think that will sway people who are on the fence between the two.

I stand corrected... Nice
I would love to know what the pre-order release date is for us here in Canada. And pricing. Most manufacturers so far have only released in provinces with the highest incentives, British Columbia and Quebec. However, my province just added an incentive that gets added to the Federal one so we should see more EV releases here soon. Pricing is key in Canada. In order for the model to qualify for incentives the base price of the entry level model must be under $45K with the cutoff for model upgrades (e.g GT Line) being $55K. Option packages aren't included in those prices. Toyota managed that for their Rav4 Prime by putting almost all of their model upgrades into a single $8K option package so a $63K car would get the rebates. Fortunately here as well, these incentives are dealer processed rebates and not income tax deductions/refunds. I just want to get a pre-order in when I can.

Welcome to the forum @GOxner! What are the incentives like in your province and from the federal government? I'd have to think Canadian pre-orders can't be too far off from when the American ones start in June.

Federal is $5000 and provincial is $3000, straight off the invoice total. I'm hoping the pre-order will be at or around the same time as US. I don't mind ponying up a couple hundred to have the opportunity for first crack. Particularly based on the fact they will have OTA updates to almost the entire car's operating systems so it's not like ICE vehicles where getting in first just meant you were relegated to being the testbed for all the build and mechanical issues for future builds.

Yes, sway or a short term motivator IMO indeed, I prefer longer term incentives to help overcome potential pain from the pump spillover for the 2 or 3 years with increasing wait times and less public charging etiquette until closer completion of there proposed inner city installations. I have noticed "out of service" EA units with 2 or 3 customers queued up waiting at a couple of walmart parking lots. Not fun especially when the wally world parking lot is otherwise full. EVgo and Tesla issues adds to the saga. Give me a tax rebate or cash back to defray cost give better option to install a home Level 2.

Pretty spot on. Added Dual Motor AWD, Heat Pump 1st Edition preferred gift (apple watch, charge credits, or at home charger).
Survey says $58.5k excl dest handling charges taxes, title license options, let's see how many get in line at 1pm E.
And the tax credit will make it a bit easier on the wallet.
First Edition has now officially become a joke. Kia really screwed this up big. There are so many FE reservation holders still waiting for their cars, whereas dealers are selling other Kia EV6 models. What a poor customer experience for all the FE holders who waited 7+ months.

What would be even more of a joke--if not a complete slap in the face--is if FE folks who have been waiting forever for theirs to show up while other folks are already driving around in their non-FE EV6s that they paid MSRP for are subsequently told that hey BTW you will need to pay markup if you still want to purchase your FE preorder once you receive word that your FE has finally arrived.
