EV9 charging at Tesla stations; cable length?

just turned in my '24 EV6 and picked up a '26 EV9, and I was surprised to see that the charge port is still located at the rear of the passenger side. I thought that that made access to Tesla chargers difficult without taking up two parking slots; is that still the case?

It depends on the Tesla site. Some now have V4 charging pedestals located at the center of the stalls. The longer charging cables allow you to reach the EV9 charge port. Other sites (nowhere enough) have side approaches to several pedestals. Photos users post on Plugshare sometimes include a shot of these.

yes, you'll find that the 'older' V2 Tesla stations have the shorter 'Tesla Only' cables... while the new V3/4 units have much longer cables, where our port locations are of much less concern... 'how' you park to access these older units sometimes does make it concerning, but sometimes you just have to park the best way/place you can... I've even times parked on the complete OTHER side of the units, backing into and over the curb, to get close enough, while not impacting anyone else...
and, to your concern, also, with the new NACS port, you'll find that many CCS stations now have BOTH CCS and NACS... no need for any adapter. Sorry CHadeMO, you're losing the battle....

Poor Leafs.
