took the first winter trip today.
34F, 80mph, eco mode. getting 2.2-2.3 mi/kwh
return trip: 37F, 75mph, eco mode. getting 2.7-2.8 mi/kwh
pre-conditioning kicked in when 40-50 mins away from the charging station. It stopped when SOC is less than 20%. However, car scanner showed the battery can maintain its temperature (high 70) after it stopped.
charging speed is around 120-150kw. was able to charge from 20% to 80% in about 20 mins.
less mi/kwh, but in general a good trip.

It is ridiculous that preconditioning stops at 20%. Still wish I had it though.

Removing the "safety features" can have negative repercussions. Charger reliability makes this a necessity.

I was expecting that the battery temperature would have dropped fast after pre-conditioning stopped. However, I didn't really see any battery temperature change within 5 mins after that. Assuming one wants to drive the car down to 10%, 10%*77kwh*2.5mi/kwh=19.25mi. That is only about 15 mins driving. Battery temperature probably should still be reasonable. This is in mid 30F weather. 0F might be a different story.
