Front underbumper damage from tire stop

So frustrating! I snagged my front lower bumper on a tire stop. Man, I'm beyond words. How in the world can this be a design issue on this car? Securing it with new clips (which are all now gone) won't help, it's irreparably deformed. (But, l'm so grateful no stress cracks or worse damage!)
Any thoughts on how to diy this so it won't hang low and cause future issues?
sigh
TIA!

I have done it 2 times myself. Thankfully there was no major damage and I was able to fix it with new clips from Auto Zone. I am somewhat handicapped so it was a sight seeing me crawl under my car. With the wife's help I was able to get back up and continue walking around.

I made it a point to do the popular thing and try to BACK INTO all parking spaces when I can. With the great back-up camera it works out pretty well.Since the back end is much higher you shouldn't snag it on anything. My wife also can't understand how KIA designed the car that way. But, that being said there should be some warning about the low clearance. It is more like a sports car being very low in the front.
Total bummer. I hope you find a good solution. I’d be kicking myself all the way home and for days afterwards. 😬

I tend to do like @wd1 and back in everywhere I can. A very old habit from my PT&T days. They required we always back in.

However, sometimes you can’t help it. My 2017 Volt had a real thing for tire/wheel stops. I think it was much lower that the EV6 and I caught it several times, but without damage.

These days in the EV6, I keep the tires at 38psi, which may or may not help, and I always try to stop before I get too close to the stops.

When pulling in I always turn on the front facing camera and stop when I see the bumper lined up with the tire stop.

I was about to post this myself, I also always turn on the front camera as I'm pulling into spaces. I've scrapped the underside of front bumpers on previous cars and was pissed when I did it, so having the front camera view has worked great at not making the same mistake.

Same... I try to back into a spot unless instructed otherwise (even though I wonder if the rule was meant for ICE cars), and use the parking camera otherwise.

Last time I let the tire stop tell me when to stop was with a leased Chevrolet Cruze, never again. though at least with that car the part I hit was rubber. Sorry for your damage 🫣

I swear these stops should come with a 'back into these spots' warnings. they are designed for trucks...

I think one reason may be so that parking enforcement folks can more easily see if your registration tags are current--I've yet to see a vehicle that has tags on the front plate.

Thanks everyone. My Wind doesn't have front camera. I have sensors, but no video capability.
Anyone have the part number for the clips? Or specs that would work?
Yep, backing in from now on.

I just bought these and picked out the ones that fit https://www.amazon.com/Retainer-Plastic-Fasteners-Universal-Assorted/dp/B09T94PPFX

Happened to my wife in our Yacht Blue (maybe the color is the problem) GT-Line. Unfortunately, everything was just the right height that it actually tore the lower lip off when she reversed out. We got a new one installed but it did make a little crack in one of the upper bumper pieces. Since it would be an additional $1000 (plus possibly another $800 if the radar had to be recalibrated) to fix that small crack, we're leaving it as-is for now. So yeah, either back-in or front camera.

Thanks for the letting me know. I'm working diligently to avoid a $1000 expense!
