Well I have a order in with MulinatoR as well for a AWD GT line Black on Black. My "reservation" is not one of the first 1,500 but it is with Ed Voyles who I had noticed last year were charging over MSRP, and that put a bad taste in my mouth sight unseen. I also contacted Rick Case KIA since I had purchased my wife a new Mazda 3 Hatchback Turbo AWD from Rick Case Mazda, for below MSRP. They also DOUBLE the manufacturers warranty and I liked the idea of doing business with them. And the GM was eyeing my Mercedes CLS 450, which is also black on black. Its a really sexy car I have to say and I am sure I will miss it but I have enjoyed driving it. I get compliments on it all the time.....This is a public forum. Sharing information about dealer's pricing policies is being done on a lot of car websites. Dealers may be reading these sites. We need to share the good and bad experiences, since it seems that many of us may not be taking delivery of our FE. We may also need to share our experiences with KIA USA so they understand why people who held reservations for 8 months did not follow through on the purchase.
My MulinatoR order is a RWD GT Line in Runway Red.
BTW from what I hear from other members of the forum is that local dealers Lou Sobh, Carriage, and Ed Voyles are talking "Market Adjustments"
Did they actually quote you pricing or are they just saying they don't know? I have been in contact with Ed Voyles at their Chamblee location and they are basically clueless as to the EV6 or anything to do with it. What they DID tell me was that they saw my "reservation" in the system but that they did not have a car shipping for me. That pretty much confirmed that I was tardy to the party with my 6/9/21 reservation date. I have reached out to a few other dealers just in case someone declines to purchase their reservation, and if something comes up that looks like a good choice and it meets all my tech and pricing requirements I will jump on it. Aside from that unlikely scenario I plan to place an order with MylinatoR out of Iowa and pick up the new car sometime in May or June, or whenever it ships, and then drive it back.Ed Voyles Smyrna FE rez. Sensing a mistake may have been made, but Kia didn’t really give us any options and the other dealers all ignored my emails…
I do believe if you want a car in 2022 at MSRP, it will take real effort, patience, and maybe some shipping costs. My fiancées 2017 Cherokee barely makes 20mpg, so I can’t get a battery fast enough. Hopefully Ed is reasonable.

Have to wonder if "market price" means whatever the market will bear, or if that means MSRP. I do know that when I was looking for cars for my wife back in September, Ed Voyles has several cars listed above MSRP. We ended up getting a Mazda 3 Hatchback and bought it from Rick Case Mazda near Gwinnett Place Mall. They made us a solid deal on a car that was still in transit and had yet to hit the lot, and they still discounted it below MSRP + they have a double the warranty policy, which was a plus as well. Their KIA lot near there has only one (1) EV6 in route and it's already sold. I asked them to let me know when it arrives so that I can get eyes on it in person, but we'll see....From the GM:
"James may have more details on ETA’s of the EV6’s. We will be pricing our vehicles at market price as we do with the rest of our inventory. We will not be discounting any vehicles until Kia gets us to a surplus of vehicles in inventory. That being said if you have a trade in we would be happy to pay great money for that to help you."
James has not had any information.
I talked to a rep up there myself. Basically they don't know a lot about the EV6, but its good to know that they are one planning on a mark up over MSRP.Different dealers could certainly interpret “market price” different. I talked with Carriage Kia of Woodstock and they were talking market pricing and said they would likely have a $7,700 mark-up.
That said, I would love to get my eyes on an EV6 when they start showing up at local dealerships. I have reached out to Carriage Kia and Matthews on Cartersville and will let y’all know when I hear anything.
Which dealer are you working with?I’m in the north Atlanta area. I think this is a great way to keep up communication in our area active. That being said, I have a FE reserved and was told there would be a mark up but nothing crazy (whatever that may mean). I’m looking at MSRP since we waited almost a year with reservations but we will have to see. I do have an update from the dealer stating that My vehicle popped up on their incoming allocations list but no ETA. Also they had training last Thursday for the vehicle.
Oh, forgot to put in my initial post. Working with Lou Sobh in Cumming. Not sure how the markups will go since they are one of the highest selling dealers. So good chance that they have a waitlist for anyone who will walk…Which dealer are you working with?
I think that it will be good for us all to have each others' dealer disclosures, markups, etc for when we actually go to the dealer to drive. Good data points to show the dealer if needed, even if there isn't much we can do. I'm personally thinking $1,500 over MSRP as max acceptable; these won't go away any time soon and who knows what availability will look like in 2022. I also think this is going to be one of the best cars of the year and a great all-around performer.
I'll be very interested in your review of the carI'm located in the Kennesaw area and I've had a reservation for a FE (White with dark green interior) since day one of the launch. My FE reservation is tied to Carriage Kia in Woodstock. I got a call from them late last year before the holidays saying they anticipated the car would arrive in late February or early March. So it appears things are slightly ahead of schedule from the comments I've seen in some of the other threads. I will say I'm really interested in owning the EV6 but if the dealer wants to get stupid with markups I have no problem going with a Tesla. It seems the Build Back Better bill now has a chance again as it will be broken up into smaller pieces and Joe Manchin is willing to support the green initiatives in a smaller package. So if this passes and Tesla qualifies again for tax credits it's almost a no-brainer to go that route. Even without tax credits for Tesla, it still might be the better option. They (Tesla) will cost less than the EV6 and still be faster and have longer range than the EV6. IMO the only things an EV6 has over Tesla is the charging speeds and the overall look & design is so cool. Other than that, Tesla wins most every other relevant category. Again, I'm a big fan of the EV6 and I'm pulling for that to work but I'm not going to let a dealership rake me over the coals. I'm really not in a hurry for a car even though I want to get one sometime this year. So I'm going to wait for my call from Carriage Kia when it arrives and I will take my test drive so I can confirm if I like how it drives as much as I like the look of it. Then we will see if the dealership wants to be reasonable with the FE or not.
I have a Matte Steel Grey Reserved with Carriage. They told me February to May. Were you assigned a salesperson? I am not hot on the Tesla but there are a lot of options out there in the EV world. Especially if dealers try to price it out of the range that KIA placed it in.I'm located in the Kennesaw area and I've had a reservation for a FE (White with dark green interior) since day one of the launch.
