Have been interested in EVs for quite some time and finally picked up an ev6 GT. Lots to learn!
Traded in my ice Mustang GT PE, which I loved, for the ev6. Wanted a Mach-e but they’re impossible to get and have insane markups. Started researching alternatives and found the ev6, what a car! Here’s hoping range anxiety doesn’t hit me too hard ;)

Level 2 charger at home, range anxiety gone.
One thing I didn't expect to come round to as quickly as I have, the sound, I absolutely love turning all the artificial sounds off and really enjoying hearing the natural sound of the motors and drivetrain. It's not loud or obnoxious, in fact the modest noise levels reassure you it's not wasting energy making heat / vibrations and noise, all the energy is directed efficiently straight to the ground.

Wonder what your thoughts are coming from a mustang?

We did get a lvl1/2 portable charger to keep in the car as the infrastructure in Idaho isn’t that great yet, I want to be prepared for any outlet :). Hopefully that also helps for range anxiety.

I loved the meaty growl of my mustang and will miss that, but I won’t miss everyone trying to drag race me as the car looked pretty aggressive. Plus the ev6 is way more practical in terms of interior space, all wheel drive and latest technology features. The adjustable suspension is a plus. In the mustang, you got beat up pretty bad by the stiff suspension.

Just took a quick road-trip today on some twisty mountain roads and the ev6 is a blast. Not quite the cornering ability of the mustang but pretty close and the ev6 definitely has it beat in acceleration, wow!

I played with the fake noises but like you I turned them off and prefer the natural sounds from the power train.

it’s a keeper for sure!
thanks for the reply,
Paul
