$299 (DXPAEV016) one at HomeDepot is only 16A (120V/240V) which is not very fast. Portable but no mention of an App(?). 16A is a stretch for since most outlets are 15A->12A realized.
$750 (DXPAEV040) 40A If you can find this for $299, that would be a good price!
$800 (DXPAEV048) 48A I guess hardwired only as no plug is shown
DEWALT Portable Electric Vehicle Level 2 EV Charger up to 16 Amps 120-240V, CSA Certified Indoor/Outdoor, NEMA 6-20 with 5-15 Adapter Included, 25 ft. Cable https://a.co/d/8XsivxD
I don't think the J+ booster is comparable... do you have the 40A model (or is there only one)? Are you forced to lower the current?
Sure, 25ft is better than 21ft. If you 40A available, then I think your choice is better. If time for recharging isn't important, then 16A would be fine.
Shopping for a charger as we speak and a DeWalt would fit right into all of the other DeWalt tools and equipment that I have in our garage. However the price of their Level 2 40amp or 48amp is a good 50% more than a number of highly rated chargers we're considering. Love DeWalt... but only to a point.
Curious, why did you replace the Emporia charger? Is you power company offering additional incentives?
Not sure if it's the same, but this is the one we've been considering. Has a lot of good reviews, but if you ran into an issue with it, it would be good to know.
TIA!
