As per the title, has Kia Acknowledged to at all to what would seem common faults.

The cars not heating properly. Seems to be very common, and fundamental to a an owners comfort.
Invertor changes to help with the above.
The issues with the various software glitches.
Issues with back window de-misting only working when in D for drive.
Shite sound from what i expect would be an expensive Meridian set up.

I’m pretty sure they are not slow in coming forward with the recent award of What Car - Car of the Year 2022 (in the UK).
I am also surprised none of these specialist EV reviewing channels online (Youtube mainly) have not mentioned the heating issue in particular, as some of the tests are being done in the European winter season.

I do hope this is not a Jaguar / Land Rover type model, with constant issues.

Tesla is having a huge problem with heating right now. I consider Kia’s issue minor in comparison.

The heating issue was completely solved by a software update i received last week at the dealer. Took them a good 30 minutes but they supplied me with a good cup of coffee or two 😉

On the Meridian, it is low on bass to my taste, but playing with the equaliser produces a pretty good sound.

Really? Maybe we need a poll of owners here to see what the number of folks that have had issues with HVAC and what it took to correct any issues they might have had. One question I have is; Do people without heat pumps have HVAC issues as well?

The issue does not seem to have any connection, whether a heat pump is fitted or not.

Coddy. I ordered my EV6 back in October, soon to arrive. I was so looking forward to getting it sometime in March as promised. But in that time I have been an avid reader of the EV6 forum. Too summarise all you ever read is 'returning to the dealership'. My new £50k + motorcar needs a 'Software Update '.
A real shame. My test drive sold it me. Wow what a car. BUT REALLY, DO YOU WANT ALL THIS HASSLE? For me No! Why on earth haven't Kia sorted these issues out before launching? If they had I'm sure they'd of had a market leader. For me I've now cancelled, I can't be doing with that hassle.
One thing I'd like to point out though is your comments about the Jaguar/ Landrover. I've had 3 in the jast 10 years, and NEVER a problem. What was I thinking swoping it for a Kia. At least I won't be running back to the dealership every 5 minutes. They at least acknowledge their faults and certainly look after you.

I absolutely agree. I had a very early edition of the I-Pace. It had a similar number of problems at the start. All solved (by a company with zero previous experience of EV manufacture) within the first 4 months and I went on to have 3 years of enjoyable motoring without a hitch. I have recently sold this car in favour of an EV6 which I may or may not have delivered in August/September this year. None of the noise on this platform has done anything to deter me as a lot of it is just sour grapes and disappointment. In the meantime I shall enjoy (?) being chauffeured by my wife in her Petrol F-Pace!

I've personally never experienced that with JLR.
I'm not going to rule it out completely and may well order the GT version once its landed in the UK, and hopefully by then many of these issues will have been sorted.

TBF the id4 etc had the same teething issues. Anyone getting their cars now have most the issues sorted AFAIK. The only real remaining one is the remote heating I think?

the heating issues are more common than you think. Kia has issued a recall with EV6s as it requires a sensor replacement. I had this done whilst they have been investigating my headlamp issue which they have concluded will need a new headlamp sent from Korea so they can install. I’ve had the problem since December 2021 and they have looked at the car 3 times now. The heating works better with the new sensor now, but still cold air out of the rear vents for rear passengers. I’ll mention it to the service team when I take it back for a 4th time whenever the headlamp gets in.

Are you getting confused with the UIP campaign for the alarm? There have been heating logic updates and an inverter on some early modes but no heating sensor I’m aware of. I’ve also had it confirmed by Kia CS on Thursday that the only outstanding item for me is the UiP sensor (and I don’t have alarm issues).

I’m not aware of any alarm issue. That’s what the service people told me, so am only quoting what was said. When I get my light fitting replaced, I’ll ask for what was done to be documented and confirm.

My personal read on this, as a long time programmer and someone in Serious Shopping mode for his next EV: I certainly expect an all-new model to have some minor glitches. But I expect the company/dealer to do an acceptable job addressing them. And that's why I hesitate to spend $55k at my local Kia dealer for an EV6, which is a tiny affair that I barely feel confident taking my wife's Seltos to for routine maintenance. (And no, there are no other Kia dealers within 50 miles that would be markedly better, as best I can tell.)
