I have a 2026 Wind. Tried to charge at EA for the first time today. I have owned other EVs and charged dozens of times at EA and others
I could not get EA to work. I know EA has its problems, but the error message is an interesting one as it mentioned Plug and Charge. I do believe that is not an option for EV9s right now. I started the charge via the EA app. My card in the app is up to date. I also am paying for the EA Pass Plus plan.
I do have KIA charge Pass active. I wonder if that is confusing the process. I also noticed later that I did not have my EV9 as one of my vehicles listed in the EA App. I don't think that should have matter, but who knows. Its interesting that EA does not have the 2026 mode year as an option, either.
Went across the street to a Tesla and it worked fine with the same credit card in the app. Just curious if anyone knows of an issue or a setup I missed. I will go back with the EV9 as one of my cars, even though its the wrong model year.
