Will Kia call this model CV? I thought they were moving all the names to EV1, EV2, etc? Anyone know?

Kia’s first E-GMP based model will be introduced in the first quarter and it’s known as the CV. The company is keeping details under wraps, but said it will feature a crossover-inspired design, high-speed charging and a range in excess of 311 miles (500 km).

Korean Car Blog is reporting that it's expected to be revealed by the end of February and will be released in South Korea in July.

Apparently and according to South Korean media TopRider, the reveal of Kia’s first dedicated EV or Kia CV, that will use Hyundai Motor Group’s new dedicated electric platform or E-GMP, alongside Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 and Genesis GV60 is closer than we thought. The crossover EV is expected to be showcased before the end of February while being released in South Korean in July.

What we know so far?
After the South Korean carmaker released its new logo, which retains the “KIA” letters but introduces a more modern, angular font which also features a horizontally and vertically symmetrical design.

We expected that new Kia models will begin to use the new logo as their badge inside and outside soon (and we have confirmed it sharing the timeline), but Kia finally teased a picture of the CV (see below) and showed its futuristic rear design in the online presentation held in January 15th.

The CV has been confirmed for a reveal in March.

A few days ago we shared a report form South Korean media TopRider that said Kia CV bespoke EV will be revealed between the end of February. Now Kia confirmed itself that it will reveal its first model of the new strategy during March in an event with unknown date. Also Kia announced that CV will have a 0-100 km/h of 3 seconds.
