I tried to order and wasn’t successful, but I wanted to share this which we all knew was coming.
The Kia dealerships where I have friends working, are already talking about jacking the price up $3000 to $5000 over MSRP!
They know that they’ll get it too they say.
I’d like to hear back from these people that were successful yesterday, to see what OTD price they get.

It’s the Mach e FE all over again. Some Ford dealerships around me were asking and getting $5000 over MSRP. Crazy.
On a similar note, I heard that one stealership wanted $10,000 over on a VW ID4 until Corporate stepped in.
The Kia website said that the EV6 price would be worked out between us and the dealerships so….

That is my worry for all these pre-reservations that are not Tesla (as Tesla does not have dealers) - you are at the mercy of the dealership and they know you can't even go anywhere else as the reservation is linked to them. VW corporate stepped in for some regarding MSRP but then the dealers were still inflating interest rates and lease rates which VW did nothing about.

I’ll try again on Tuesday, but it’s turning out to be a lot more than I originally sold my wife on.
$58,500, plus destination, then add markup and finally Tax, tag etc. Probably $68,500 minus the $7500. That’s worst case with $5000 markup.

The good thing is the $7500 Fed but in Ga we lost of $5000 State credit long ago. At least I got to use it on the Nissan Leaf in 2013.

Sorry, I'll refrain from posting any more in this thread until I get my reservation in.

We are worried about the pricing as well but it’s you that decides who gets the vehicle to sell. You can change the dealer before delivery I saw in the FAQ. It will be interesting to see. Ours is delivered to Dan Antonio Texas.

She's a CPA External Auditor. Nothing gets past her. If I buy an air freshener for a vehicle, she knows how much, when, for what vehicle....

Actually she "lets" me get whatever usually and she wants the EV6, but when she sees numbers change that drastically, she's trained to apply the brakes! In other words....wait on the GT Line to go live next year.
On the positive side, I really don’t want the black cladding around the wheels, as I have a Kona now with those and I don’t care for them.
The other thing is that I really like the blue color so….maybe not too bad to wait.

So is that the plan that all other EV6 models will go live last year? The large Bronco offered a First Edition that will launch with the other models. I believe the same strategy applies to VW.

My experience: I was successful in making a reservation on the 3rd. I have to admit that I forgot and it wasn't until @5pm that I first attempted. I had the error that everyone reported so I figured that I had missed it. I tried off and on until it went through.

I selected:

Steel Gray Matte Exterior, Black/Black Vegan Leather​

Gift: Home Charger​

Having since learned about the maintenance required for the Matte finish, even though I LOVE the matte finish, I will probably change to the Glacier with Black/Green interior. Unless I can buy another car for my husband first and leave the EV6 for just me to drive!

I got one! I had three safari browsers opened up and ready, along with two Chrome.
I couldn’t get through with any. It kept saying that it wasn’t opened up yet.

Anyway, I had a Chrome window opened up from last week, so I clicked on the color that I wanted and it refreshed and let me proceed.

Crazy ride so far.

Thanks. That’s what happened to me. I opened up a new window to Kia.com and I was successful. We’ll the page refreshed and I was successful anyway.

• I’ve spent over 5 hours trying to pre-order the EV6.
• I've tried different browsers on my computer.
• I've tried different browsers on my iPhone.
• I spoke with Kia technical support. They experience the same problems I've had. They suggested I keep trying.
• For the first few hours the website would not allow me to select a dealership, a required part of the pre-ordering.
• Later, the website allowed me to complete that section and finally select "Reserve Now with Your Payment."
• Alas the next screen always says,

"Your Vehicle Booking is not completed due to some reasons.. please try Again."

• The punctuation and capitalization errors are consistent.
• I just left the local Kia dealership. The person who helped me, his manager, and the district manager we're all unable to place a pre-order.
• Has anyone had any luck pre-ordering?
• Does anyone have any suggestions?

I went ahead and reserved another one for my wife from a different dealership.
That way I can get the yellow and her the Glacier White/Green.
Heck, for the fun of it I tried for another and it was going to let me get that one too, so I’d say that either nobody’s reserving or they added hundreds more.
