Hi guys,

So glad i ordered my EV6 - GT Line (4WD) last week. To my surprise my dealer told me it could be delivered as soon as Nov :)
I waned to go with the Yacht Blue as i love blue color but since i haven't seen the color live i went with Aurora Black Pearl. Black
is classic so i know i will like that anyway.
I wanted the GT to be honest but one year wait time + i think less range + the chairs wont have ventilation and head is to much of a downgrade in my opinion.

Cant wait to test drive this beast.

ps. Anyone got info about adding towbar on this car? seems it should be possible after purchase ....

Hi, I ordered an EV6 Plus a couple of weeks ago (Sweden) with a towbar. Seems as if they will mount it at the shop, yes. I also asked for roof rack but they didn't know about it yet.

what kind of tow bar do you get? Kia just confirmed that the towbar isn’t available as electric towbar? Price though is same as the electric towbar on sorento phev…16000dkr which might be 20000skr…

To get the HeadUpDispaly, I needed to upgrade to HUD/sunroof/glassroof for 19998dkr…..
In denmark the gt-line is delivered with a Meridian sound system as std…
Regarding the towbar, I’ll wait to see which kind they offer to mount afterwards….

Not really sure but I believe that it can be installed later. I took it with the car so I don't need to know.

Ps. Same model in that yacht blue color. Loving it while I have only seen it in videos.

My sale guy also told me today it can be mounted after but did not know the details. O well the range and comfort is more important for me.
Actually ordered a Testa S too but i just cant motivate the 400k extra. Based on all videos i seen EV6 seems to be a great car.

I'm sure it will be great anyway :)

Sterling
Strange, that is standard on GT-Line in SE :)
I still took the sunroof :D , paying this much and not getting everything dont make sense to me hehe. This is what i like about non german cars, you can pretty much get everything for not that much more. On German cars the cost will end up almost double to get every little thing. Crazy really.

It seems like the dealers doesn't really have all the information.

I've have an order for an EV6 Plus RWD. When I signed the papers the salesperson told me that the were som problems with the RWD-version, and it would be a slight delay.

And when the official WLTP-ratings came out, and the rating for AWD was a respectable 506km, -and after giving it some thought I asked the dealership if I could change to the AWD to get an earlier delivery date.

But then, this time a different salesperson, told me that the my RWD was scheduled for mid November. And the AWD-versions wouldn't arrive until late December early January.

So I kept the order for the RWD plus.

And they still haven't given me a quote on the winter tyres or the towbar. They were just guesstemating that the prices would be something similar to those of the Kia Sorento.

I didn't include a towbar in the order (at the time there was no information about it), but I wished for an electric towbar, and they haven't heard back offering me either a detachable or a fixed.

If i were you and could afford it i would change it to AWD without hesitation. The extra power is crazy. I drove the Mercedes EQC which has 400hp and 0-100 in 5sec or so and with EV6 AWD even with 325hp the 0-100 is also 5.2sec + more 650nm if i remember correct. EV6 is lighter so the speed is same as EQC.
That's just an awesome feeling when the car "flies" away. Well worth the wait for some month if you going to ride it for years to come. Just my 2 cent.
Also my dealer said mine is showing for delivery in Nov. So there is hope they can come sooner.

I agree on the awesome feeling!

I pondered over it for several weeks, but for me, that awesome feeling is not worth 35k SEK, less range and cargo space.

I have driven the Jaguar I-Pace and Polestar 2. And IMHO that kind of acceleration is unnecessary for everyday driving. I’ve driven the Skoda Enyaq IV80 as well, and it has way less power than both. But the Enyaq IV80 felt zippy enough around town (and has only 71 kW/tonne compared to the EV6 RWD with about 84kW/tonne).

Where the power, or lack of power, started to make a noticeable difference was on the motorway. But for my use case, when I’m on a motorway, I’m probably going to need to keep the speed down and avoid unnecessary accelerations to preserve battery. So essentially, most of the time I would be driving around with 100kg of extra weight which I’m never going to use.

The owner of the I-Pace I tested is a relative, and he said something like this “Sure, its nice to have that power when overtaking, but realistically, I’ve probably never used all the power anyway. And sure, it was fun in the beginning to show off the acceleration (0 – 100 km/h in under 5 seconds) to friends and family. But after a while it became more of a sport to get the consumption down and try to get as much range as possible”.

I even tried to motivate buying the AWD-version with a safety argument. But apparently statistics imply that AWD mask poor driving conditions, leading to higher speeds, and when control is lost, the AWD doesn’t aid with the braking-part. At least according to an insurance company. Ny rapport: Fyrhjulsdrivna bilar ger fler personskadeolyckor

And since I don’t live in a hilly area with a lot of snow and frequently tow heavy loads, or different combinations of the aforementioned reasons, its just hard for me to motivate to spend 35K SEK (3435 EUR / 2950 GBP) on something that doesn’t really is that useful for me.

But as I said, I pondered over it for a long time, so I do understand why most opt for the AWD-version. The price increase, compared to the total cost, is small and the range penalty in real world driving will probably not even be noticeable for most.

Mine is supposed to show up week 2202.
Heard from a friend today that he can have a car deliverd in december if he decides this week, it seems they have cars orderd thats not already sold?! 🤷‍♂️
