Apparently my delivery ETA has been bought forward to 24th April!
I think my car is on the Asian Emperor so that would certainly match up.

After much deliberation I've decided to stick with the EV6 and cancel the Genesis GV60.
The additional cost and then subsequent cost of 'premium' parts would have been a pain. For example the tow bar including fitting was about £400 more!

Where can you check the shipping schedule on these things?

Once your car is in production your dealer should be able to provide you with a screenshot of the 'Order to Delivery' page which shows estimated / actual dates for things that happen, such as shipping, arrival in the UK etc.

From that it's a case of trying to guess which ship it's on.
Kia use EUKOR a lot and you can view there schedule: Schedule - EUKOR
The departure port is Pyeongtaek and the arrival is United Kingdom.
However, sometimes they arrive on a different carrier or change vessel in Europe if they can't get into a UK port so it's not so clear unfortunately.

The dealer system is arguably the best way to track it but accuracy varies...

Hey Riddick
Great decision in my humble opinion.
You won’t be disappointed
I love my car
Decided to order a Carlinkit dongle today
Ordered off Amazon.
I was’nt going to but hopefully it will make it easier having wireless CarPlay etc.

Great news on the delivery date too.

What should people ensure is included when the car it delivered?

I can think of:

Type-2 charging cable
3-pin plug-in charging cable
'Tyre Mobility Kit'

Is there anything else that one should check is with the car?

Also, how do you get Kia's discounted charging network thing?

V2L Adapter with pouch. All of the leads (Type II and 3-pin granny charger) should be in KIA zipped bags I believe.
Ask for all technical and infotainment software updates to be installed prior to collection
Car mats?
Then all of the visual checks on paint, glass panels, wheels etc on collection as well as everything is working.
Happy and safe driving

Not sure that the Air comes with the V2L adapter.
Chivvy dealer into providing mats. I got rubber boot mat with extenders and carpet ones for the cabin. I have replaced the carpet with Kia rubber ones. The carpet mats are up on ebay.
Things I have purchased are mudguards (ebay) a tray to fit into centre console (amazon) NOCO 40 battery booster, bluetooth battery monitor (amazon), 10mm spanner to remove neg terminal off battery (in case of the dreaded 12v battery drain. Finally the Dongar dash cam adapter (Dongar). I did buy a 13a extender with letterbox adapter from Toughleads proved invaluable when I was away for a week.
Things to consider are a home charger box (if you haven't got one) and ? paint protection - best done before the dealer "cleans" it for you
There's a list for you and finally enjoy!

Thanks for the replies. It's a lease so no real angle to lean on dealer for mats. I've already had written confirmation that all software updates will be done before delivery. I'm buying a V2L cable separately.

I'm not going to get any paint protection. I've had numerous lease cars over the years and never bothered. I know many on here have that as a given, but is there any reason to get it on an EV6 more than another make/model of car?

Next question 😋

What are the best options for external charging schemes?

1) I know that Kia provide you 12 (?) months of free sign-up to their own scheme - is this any good? Is it only Ionity charge points that are covered?

2) Is it possible to just rock up at a charge point and begin charging? Or do you need to be signed-up beforehand?

3) Is ZapMap the best app to use to locate EV charge points? Or should I consider any other particular options?

4)) Are any of the subscription schemes worth it?

To clarify, I have a home EV charger and will predominantly be using that to keep my car charged. But we do travel a fair bit, so there will be probably a couple of occasions a month where I'll need to get some charge in whilst away from home.

1. The KIA Charge card and IONITY worked well with me. Cheaper. Also used the Card on FASTNED - worked but not particularly good price. If using a charge card follow charger screen instructions of when to connect car. Can be different if using contactless credit/debit card.
2. Yes so long as charger accepts contactless or whatever card you have signed up for. And there is a charger free!
3. Most of the chargers have their own map but A Better Route Planner (ABRP) can be helpful. Research before your trip is paramount to be able to find the Ultrafast charger best suited. ABRP can make suggestions for your stops.
4. They can be but depends on number of times you are likely to use them.
5. 13a Granny charger can be useful for friends/family stops. Toughleads do an extension with a letterbox adapter.

You may be correct - been using it for years and never noticed.

I do have an account though..

Still has a reputation for being inaccurate though.

Which version did you go for?
I ordered the Carlinkit 4,0
It arrived today and it’s installed.
Works a treat so far!

Dropping it off for PPF etc on Saturday.

once it’s back, I can have a bit of a road trip.
It’s been sitting on the drive for 7 days.
