do you mind me asking what you're paying for PPF - i had a look locally this afternoon, and covering the whole car looked to be 3 - 4 grand!
Hi A lot of people seem to go for PPF to the front end and then ceramic coating all over. I chose just the ceramic coating, windows, wheels and interior. Cost £1200 inc Vat at Reep. This did include enhance polishing paint protection as the surface is sealed in for % years plus.

Was wondering if anyone has an update on any orders placed in may last year? With the recent all ev6s being promised to be delivered in under 12 months I was wondering if anyone has had cars shipped or conformation?

My car was promised for q1 but latest update (issued the weekend) is may to July with no build date confirmed

Ordered GT-S RWD in black no HP

Seems to be a lot of AWDs coming in lately so hopefully they are running RWDs soon
I ordered my White GT in March 2022. Dealer rang last week and it is on a ship on its way here. Should arrive at dealer in mid April

It arrived today and it’s installed.
Works a treat so far!

Dropping it off for PPF etc on Saturday.

once it’s back, I can have a bit of a road trip.
It’s been sitting on the drive for 7 days.
Thanks,

Let us know how it sounds with playing spotify.

Not sure that the Air comes with the V2L adapter.
Chivvy dealer into providing mats. I got rubber boot mat with extenders and carpet ones for the cabin. I have replaced the carpet with Kia rubber ones. The carpet mats are up on ebay.
Things I have purchased are mudguards (ebay) a tray to fit into centre console (amazon) NOCO 40 battery booster, bluetooth battery monitor (amazon), 10mm spanner to remove neg terminal off battery (in case of the dreaded 12v battery drain. Finally the Dongar dash cam adapter (Dongar). I did buy a 13a extender with letterbox adapter from Toughleads proved invaluable when I was away for a week.
Things to consider are a home charger box (if you haven't got one) and ? paint protection - best done before the dealer "cleans" it for you
There's a list for you and finally enjoy!
@yelnats1, apologies for not being overly technical so my questions may sound a bit stupid bit, if you don't ask.

1. The carlinkit is still wired into the car, is they correct? So apart from not hewn your phone connected, what's the benefit?
2. Noco GB40 battery monitor, are you leaving they permanently connected? How have you secured it.
3. Which mudflaps did you buy?
4. Finally, the dongar dashcam attachment, which camera dod you go for? How small is it? I really don't want anything visible from the inside. Have you a rear facing camera too.
Thanks

I have Amazon music set up, and plays really well

the sound from the system I think is excellent, Pink Floyd with volume up is awesome to be fair.

Spending £52,000 on the car, and bearing in mind I am now retired and planning on keeping this lovely car, I decided to properly protect it.
After shopping around I have chosen the work to be carried out by Protex in Horsham.
Cost is around £3,300.
Work to be completed
FULL PPF on the whole car using Suntek with 10 year warranty.
Two coatings on Ceramic on top of PPF using Gtechniq ceramic.

Gtechniq ceramic on all alloy wheels
Gtechniq coatings on all the glass.
Gtechniq coatings on all the interior of the car.

Xpel window tinting on the front passenger and drivers side windows, to darken in line with the rest of the car.
Just the windscreen not tinted.

Dropped the car off today, should get it back next weekend.
The owner of Protex in very well qualified and Xpel trained.
Lovely workshop as well.

using Xpel to do this work would have been well more expensive. Circa £1500 more.

Suntek is an excellent product too.
Most PPF is very good
It’s the quality of the installer that is most important.

I will post pictures once I get the car back.

No problem at all. I haven't got the carlinkit so can't comment on that.
2. The NOCO GB40 is a portable battery booster - bought from Amazon. I keep it in the "frunk" to attach if the 12v battery dies. I did buy the battery monitor also from Amazon that remains permanently attached and will communicate with phone app if charge level drops. Car Battery Monitor BM6,12V Car Battery Monitor Tester BM2 Device Leisure Battery Tester for Cars & Campervans, for Android IOS Phone BM2 Bluetooth 4.0 and Above

3. Mudguards eBay item number:185724418317 . Remove the studs and reuse to fit the mudguard. Turning the wheels helped with the front and managed the back without having to remove wheels. Yet to see if they make a difference with dirt down the side.
4. Dongar attchment fits in the rear view mirror console so not visible. I chose the Viofo A129. It is small and does not interfere with vision. I have the rear camera that goes with it but as it requires a cable to attach to the front unit have not got round to connecting it.

Sounds like it will be the bee's knees.
Just a thought re tinting the side windows there are laws regarding windscreen and front side windows. This is from the .gov website:
Vehicles first used on 1 April 1985 or later
The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through.
Would hate for you to get it done and then have to remove the film.

The carlinkit is just plugged into the car always
Not the phone as you say
For me it’s just easier to not have my iPhone plugged in.
The Carlinkit dongle is small and unobtrusive
It’s what works for the individual
Like having PPF or Ceramic etc.

I have a Noco boost
Good piece of kit too.

Nope
The front windows are a shade lighter than the rest of the car, so in line with what is allowed
I saw it today and it is lighter
The installer has verified this as well.
It’s Xpel film designed for these windows.

thanks for the thought though

Help please!

My car was scheduled to be delivered yesterday. After hearing nothing by lunch, I called to chase up. Was told it was on the truck but I was the last delivery. Would be there before 6pm

The car arrived at 7.15. It was dark and, by then, raining.

I gave the car an inspection and, whilst I couldn't see any major damage, I couldn't fully check. On the delivery sheet, I wrote that as it was dark and wet, I couldn't fully check the car.

This morning I did a full check and my heart sank when I saw a scratch almost the full length of the car on the driver's side. It's not a deep scratch, and probably could be 'polished out' by an expert.

I took photos and a video (culminating in me opening the door to show it still only has the delivery miles, to prove I've not driven it) and emailed the lease company, requesting it be remedied.

I also checked our cctv and nobody entered our drive overnight, so it was there upon delivery.

I'm hoping the lease company and/or dealership will arrange repair (both are over 150 miles away).

But, if they refuse, what are my rights?

Glad you have your car
Sorry to hear about the scratch
If it is a lease car, then the lease company are responsible for putting the damage right.
I would ask the lease company on Monday to see what they say.
Take pictures etc, then you have a date stamp when you took the pictures etc.
As it’s brand new they should get it sorted for you
If it’s not deep then a detailer will be able to repair it.

I hope you get it sorted
I had a few scratches on the wing and the dealer sorted it, even after I had a few days
They just buffed out
It’s in with Protex now to have PPF, so they will pick up and repair anything else too.

Well, today is my one year anniversary and still no news (it's the dealer that says no news). I have the fatal combination of S, HP and Yacht Blue so not expecting a car till June earliest. Impatient though I am, I try to deal with the wait by reminding myself that my current car is almost certainly superior to an EV6 by any measure but I so love getting new cars and new tech that this approach isn't working! Encouraging to see quite a few Q1 2022 orders being fulfulled now so I know something is bound to start happening soon...
