i really hope thats the drive mode on the steering wheel... Telluride's drive mode dial on the console is a bit a pain since owning EV6.

Looks like it has electric steering wheel height and position adjustment also looking at the round button on the side of the steering wheel housing.

I wonder how much will be for the Korean market and how much else where, like we find with the EV6 we do not all get the same functions in different parts of the world.

I'm glad they did away with the airplane-style steering wheel. Much prefer traditional car style.

I really wish they followed the trend and introduced larger tablet-like screen and more modern interface. I am afraid we'll be getting exactly the same crappy UI and maps that EV6 and Niro have, which is based on a very old Android and the only things that every change are gimmicks like new Sounds of Nature - that adds nothing to the driving experience, but apparently is worth a special Press Release

Well, they could use whatever Nvidia architecture offers but put the same (crappy IMO) interface the other Kia cars have... I hope this is not the case though and Kia would do a major redesign.

Remember that KIA own Genesis, and the latest all electric Genesis (G60 ?) is using Nvidia and a different UI

the gv60 uses the same underlying software as any other hyundai, just with slightly better graphics.

I don't think Kia/Hyundai/Genesis will be introducing a revamped system. So far they've been simply making it look better. That's how GV60 looks like. It's evolutionary but IMO in a bad way.

I hope they do. Their current media/ac panel is plain stupid - the knobs I use most on my e-Niro are Vol and Temp. Now to get from one to another I need to "switch panels". For this I need to actually LOOK at the panel to see which one is active. Is this any smarter than using a well-designed tablet-like screen?
Besides, can you tell a reason for separate Map and Nav buttons? And why is there no Home button, which you need to find on-screen? Because most people I know assigned Fav button to Android Auto or CarPlay.
I am looking forward to EV9 because of its utility, but I am well prepared to be deeply disappointed by its infotainment.

I use the volume switch on my steering wheel, where my thumbs are already located, and use the knob for slight temperature adjustments once per drive.

It's still better, but it does annoy me a bit. I hate touchbuttons and want real ones.

It's better, not smarter.

True. I am not against buttons though. I personally think a larger screen (portrait mode for better maps?) AND well-designed buttons would be simply perfect. But it's also a matter of execution - crappy UI with physical buttons is still a nightmare.

What I am afraid of is that Kia will continue using it's current layout and only change design details, which I am not a fan of. That's all.
