Having owned 2 Tellurides and now an EV6 this looks like the best of both worlds. If the top trim comes in under $70K, I'm 100% in.It looks good, very close to the concept. Hopefully we’ll see more colors tomorrow. It’s all going to come down to specs and pricing (and dealer markups) on whether we get one. We have a telluride and model 3 right now. Have a Rivian R1S order at old pricing too so a lot to consider!
Fair enough, if level 3 is true I'd stretch it to $75K depending on the implementation.I don't believe that there's any chance the top trim comes in under $70k. I'm pinning it at $75k but we'll see more later this year. 25% more battery with the AutoMode level 3 autonomy and the larger size.
Also, I'm praying for a nice green color option... if the Forest green was available in the US market on the EV6 I'd have been all over it.Fair enough, if level 3 is true I'd stretch it to $75K depending on the implementation.
Exactly what I was thinking. If the range is 300+ I'll likely trade in my EV6 and my JeepVERY Telluride!
Serious question... did you join this forum just to post this?I still think my R1S look a lot better.
I'd say that depends on charge speed really. Rivian has a 400V architecture and 10-80% times are reportedly between 40-45 min on a 350kWh charger. If EV9 is charges in under 25 minutes from 10-80% I'd give the edge to the EV9. Sure you might be making an extra charging stop on a day of driving, but potentially you would get in and out faster in the 9.im really interested to see if an awd model will hit 270 real world miles. if not then it doesn't seem worth it to me, when for a bit more money you can get an R1S, which definitely will.
That's my concern with Rivian or any of the other new companies in the last few years that are not Tesla. I have a reservation on a Fisker Ocean that I need to get refunded. In this economic climate I can't trust companies that I don't know will be around in 5 years. That's just too much of a leap of faith.I'd try to talk a friend out of buying a Rivian at this point. Deliveries and revenue keep pushing out, the stock's lost 90% of its value since IPO, more layoffs are coming. Not sure they're going to make it, and if they don't depreciation and parts support for existing owners will become serious issues. $.02, but I don't have similar concerns around Kia.
I do wonder if it will make it to the US market though, seems like we always get something gimped due to some obsolescent law or another.View attachment 12602
That is cool!
I really need to play with auto-regen more. I messed around with it a few times but never gave it a fair shake. Any good tutorials on best practices?I loved paddles in the beginning on my ev6 but auto regen is by far the best efficiency overall
That's interesting, certainly don't want to hijack this thread, but I had no idea that it was nav-based... now I'm going to have to do some research. If there are no cars in front of you and no intersections close, will it coast freely like regen 0?Just set it and forget it. It uses your gps, navigation, and radar sensors to adjust regen based on your route, speed, and distance between you and the car in front of you. Its ingenious
Ah good eyes. Definitely looks like paddles there. Thanks for posting this!
