Hmm, looks like there isn't any illumination around the charging port in the videos. I've got a Sorento PHEV and consistently fumble around for a while trying to plug in at night, and that's one small feature I really wish it had.
The headlights final design is not even ready yet on this production prototype. Still a chance they add a light before the final version is released

The number one reason the swivel seats will be a cool feature is easy loading of a baby into a car seat as the seat can face the open door.
One thing I didn't see anyone mention so far is the mounting of the seatbelts inboard. That means, the seatbelt buckle is on the door-side so if you get the model without the swivelling seats, you can still buckle the seatbelt more easily as the buckle is in front of you.

I'm getting the feeling this thing is going to be very expensive.
Yeah, $70-$90k is my guess. I mean that's within the realm of a Suburban but still, that's hard to wrap one's head around.

The video show a permanent section of the display for HVAC control. I assume this is another small screen. On the one hand I think this is a really good improvement. However it means the further point on the info screen is going to be further away from the Driver than on the EV6, and I already think that's pretty far away.

I put this in another thread a month or so ago. Has the trims, price etc View attachment 12643

in the US the EV6 AWD GT line top trim is 59k. In Canada it's 64.5k. So if they kept the same pricing and overlapped with the EV6 AWD the prices in Canada would range from let's say 61k to 79k? Hummm. And that trim 3 is 4k more than a top trim EV6 AWD.. so the starting AWD EV9 would be 71k around the price of a Model Y up here now. Just spit balling while I watch the SPY and QQQ go wild today. ;)

They really need to up the range to high 275+ miles.

220 mi is very weak. Add in 4 or 5 people, ac on. It's going to cause a lot of range anxiety

Eqs, eqe, bmw IX and upcoming polestar 3 all have decent range

Seems to me even if they can go with 90-100kWh battery it will be tough to break the 300 mile range barrier in AWD with the typical SUV aerodynamics, which is an important barrier to break.

Yeah. 300 miles EPA won't be 300 miles on the highway since it's a combined figure. But who knows, maybe they'll rate it conservatively given it's targeting families and not EV enthusiasts and therefore might win favours if they rate it conservatively.

Ev enthusiast are a bit more forgiving when it comes to range anxiety. We'll plan ahead and use apps to look for charging stations.

You're average family only cares about how far can this ev take me with a full battery

Look at how big the 2nd row bench is! It is a lot bigger than my ev6. View attachment 12694
This is definitely the version I prefer with having three children.
I thought that’s what I would prefer for our telluride and 3 kids but we got the captains chairs and it’s great. Not as much fighting and everyone has plenty of room. Either way, I’m getting more excited for the specs and pricing, the looks are fantastic.
