I wanted to try a subtle spoiler mod that didn’t cost a huge amount. (£100)

I’m pleased to say the spoiler cap looks - bit OEM and inoffensive/subtle.

I quite like it and think it’s reasonably priced.

Fitting was very easy and it comes with 3M VHB tape and It doesn’t feel like it will fall off at 160mph!

The hardest bit was actually removing the maxton stickers and there was a holographic sticker which when I went to peel off left ‘void’ printed on the spoiler which resulted in having to get WD40 out to remove……….

(not sure who would want a holographic sticker on their spoiler? Actually, probably the people who buy sports caps and leave the price tag on)

Here are some pics

Not sure I'd want to change the aero of a GT... also it looks 'plasticky' from the pics. Not my cup of tea, but if you like it, then that's what counts!

What I would like is for the top spoiler to get wider, i.e. more of the wing sticking out than now because I think that really defines the look of an EV6.

It is plastic. It looks better in person than in the pics.

you can get a flat prime version to paint yourself or a carbon look one in addition to this gloss black.

There is a real carbon one I saw on insta from another company but the price was north of 600 dollars.

I had the full Maxton set for my M140i including a similar looking spoiler cap and it looked great for a while, but the outer coating delaminated after a few years and I had to peel it off leaving an uneven matte finish. They're a nice design for the money, but not a premium product and aero is pretty important for EV range.

Is that you David? used to read your EVO articles with great joy!

I’m not under any illusion it will last the life of the vehicle but it was only £100 or so which I’m comfortable with.

I’m majority town driving my GT and home charging so even if it makes a small difference to aero it doesn’t bother me.

I primarily bought the spoiler as it was in stock, reasonably priced and for a bit of fun that could be turned back to stock in an instant if I get bored of it.
