I get same message for my Kia Carnival
I get same message for my Kia CarnivalDoes anyone know why I am getting this message over the past days that I have been trying to update my EV^? View attachment 14138
I don't see a date either.Where does it say that? I don't see any additional notifications.
Thank you for doing this and making the files available to those of us who ,issed the short window.I traded my EV6 Light for a Wind AWD , I used the same files I downloaded before on my flashdrive and I updated the Wind AWD no problem. So thats 2 updates ive done with these "recalled" files, I have self hosted the files and the link is on one of my post on Page 2 of this thread if anyone wants to play around with EV route planning. copy the files to the root of your 64GB + size flashdrive and they will work, tested this just now with my new "used" EV6 wind AWD.
Whenever I try to login, the updater can never find my EV6 so I always have to use guest login mode anyways. I just downloaded and installed the software update yesterday. Everything seemed to go fine.FYI the revised May update has posted again and is available. There's an issue with log-ins on the Updater software so you'll need to use the Guest Login until resolved.
Thanks to @TechnicallyJeff
"it doesn't show estimated charging time at the very least much less estimated %SoC".Whenever I try to login, the updater can never find my EV6 so I always have to use guest login mode anyways. I just downloaded and installed the software update yesterday. Everything seemed to go fine.
It took about an hour; you'll definitely want to do this once you get home or somewhere you won't be driving for an hour as you'll have no center screen so no backup cams, no music, etc.
One odd thing was that the EV route planning feature wasn't mentioned in the changelog prior to starting the install but it was the only thing mentioned post install. I did a preliminary test of it and it's rather useless since it doesn't show estimated charging time at the very least much less estimated %SoC.
I already have the early May release; tried today to get the newer one, but although I can download it as Guest, the car says the download is missing or corrupt. There are files on the drive so something is still not right.FYI the revised May update has posted again and is available. I get the same thing happening - message says files missing or corrupt, download again.I already have the early May release; tried today to get the newer one, but although I can download it as Guest, the car says the download is missing or corrupt. Likewise, installed newest version successfully last night after having the early May release installed since early May.I installed the 230426 build when it came out and I'm currently installing the 230517 build which I just downloaded. So the currently one will install over the previous one.
I think it's highly unlikely there will be an early June update with significant feature changes like showing SoC and charging times when using the EV trip planner. The latest software was just re-released days ago.Based on this, we have to wonder whether an early June update is still in the works and Oliver is just confused.
That's the current build date that I'm on, 2023-05-17.I'm currently installing the 230517 build
Why are you expecting a June release? The spring release is typically April or May. And the Fall one is Oct or Nov as Oliver mentioned. There's more to the story in #50 above. I wrote Oliver back with this:
"Thank you Oliver. I’ve wondered all along whether a reinstall is not possible due to the files being the same from initial to second try. May I rest assured that when the early June update comes out I will be able to install it?"
Oliver's response was:
"
Hello,
That is what is currently available now, we were able to receive the revised copy and upload the files earlier than expected. Since it passed testing on outdated models Hyundai and Kia allowed the update to be released again. The next big update will be in the Fall around September to November timeframe typically.
Sincerely,
Oliver

Based on this, we have to wonder whether an early June update is still in the works and Oliver is just confused. I for one had hoped that it would incorporate requests to include estimated charging times and SOC at arrivals to charging stations, which were incorporated in the Engineering Mode version.
I'm pretty sure the update was only 'pulled' because of some poorly timed server maintenance. Any compatibility issues did not effect E-GMP cars, only other ICE Hyundai Motor Group cars that use Gen 5W infotainment systems.Their initial estimate on when that was going to be put out after being pulled was "early June."
I've never gotten an actual (cellular) OTA in the 4 months I've owned my EV6. I don't even know if you can query for an update in the car. The update button seems to only apply for USB connected update firmware. Regardless, I find the computer to USB device download to be far quicker than waiting months to see if/when they push the update via cellular.rather than waiting for an OTA
