NY Auto Show Hosting Indoor EV Test Drives

The New York Auto Show is going to have an EV test track prepared for the show and Kia is going to be one of the companies that will be supplying EVs for attendees to ride in.

Is anyone planning on going to the show?

I'll be there! Thanks for the wonderful news. I'm just wondering why Hyundai (IONIQ 5) won't be there...

I was surprised about that as well. I guess they don't have a prototype available/ready?

That's awesome you're going to the show! Be sure to keep us updated if you see anything EV6 related.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Korean Spec model. They can afford to use one as it will go on non-public roads.

NY Auto show CANCELED!
I'm glad that I didn't buy my airline ticket already. I have enough going on with Delta and canceled flight/credits.

I really wanted to see and possibly drive the EV6.

I believe you can fly to Chicago as they have the EV6 on display. I may do the trip (but I don't know about the IONIQ 5).

Can you drive the EV6 anywhere in the USA though, like the test track Kia was going to have at the NYC show?

OUTDOOR TEST DRIVES
The 2021 Chicago Auto Show Special Edition will offer attendees the opportunity to get behind for a test drive. Test drives operate every day, most originating off of Indiana Ave. You can sign up for the test drives on the show floor in the manufacturer exhibits or in the corridor along Indiana Ave. Here is a list of the participating manufacturers, check back for updates.

KIA (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Indiana Ave.)
