Operation of FOB for remote start

The daytime running lights and the taillights are illuminated when ours starts. Once it's "running" they turn off. I'm not sure how far away the fob will work. I'd stand outside and give it a try, but it's pouring rain at the moment... and the rest of the night. :sneaky: I'm sure one of the experts will chime in.

The vid seems to indicate a looong push on the remote button but hard to tell. When I have been successful the orange lights DO come on. From upstairs I can't see the lights so am unaware if it has started successfully, and it never has. Downstairs with the door open looking at the car I can tell if I'm successful.

Maybe I'll have to depend on the cell phone.
Again, I'm not sure of the distance.

Ours starts after pressing the "Hold" button for about 3 - 4 seconds and the turn signals and taillights flash three times. The guy in the video seems to have some problems with his.

Sometimes when I use the fob to start it, a fan comes on fairly loudly right away and then dials back or goes away in a few seconds. After the lights have come on and gone off there's no way to tell if it's running unless I look inside at the dash. By then I'm close enough that our door automatically unlock.

I'd think the KIA Access App could tell you if it's running or not, but I haven't looked at it to tell either.

Here's a quick video I made:

Press the "Lock" button (even if it's already locked), the lights flash, then press the "Hold" button until the lights flash again. You can let go of the "Hold" button after that.

Hope that helps!
