I talked to a GM today who seemed to think you could do that, and choose your own dealership to have it shipped to. Still exploring the method on how to do that.

Yep my bad, I only figured that out after I went deeper and deeper into the link. I think you can place an order through a local dealer and according to the GM who told me, the dealer has to sell it at MSRP. Personally I am leaning towards that as opposed to HOPEING I can find something I want... It would be worth it if only to avoid the upcharges.

I'm planning to do the same. But the dealer has all the power regardless. I still think they're more likely to sell it at MSRP if you order cause it doesn't come from their allocated vehicles.
