Seat memory

There have been a few posts on this topic but I haven't yet seen my problem specifically.

My wife has seat position "1" in both user profiles and I have seat position "2" in both profiles. I did this to try solve the problem I'm going to describe.

She's shorter than I am. Let's say she was the previous driver, so the seat is far forward. Before getting into the car, I select position "2". I get in, start the car and select my profile. Then SOMETIMES the seat will start reverting back to her position, scrunching my legs in the process, and forcing me to select "2" while the seat is in motion. This can even happen when I'm backing out of the garage!

This is occasional -- maybe 30% of the time -- but is really annoying. Please help!
We have related frustrations with seat "memory" and user profiles - which seem like bugs / bad integration of "parts bin" components like the seat control module with the rest of the system.

As a workaround to the brain dead implementation of user profile and seat position settings, my spouse and I have a similar approach to OP. Sometimes it seems to auto adjust to settings that do not relate at all to our respective seating memory positions. I wonder if this is complicated somehow by the automatic easy entry/exit feature. Some mornings when I get in and change it back to my profile I seem to get a totally random destination for the seat.

(Compounded by the flaky seatback angle control switch on my driver's seat, which sometimes decides not to let me return it to an upright position versus leaned back like a wannabe gang-member 😜)

The EV6 is a very good EV, but as a passenger car in general it's painful to think this thing costed over 55k when new. My middle-of-the-road BMW 3-series option package had these basic interior and interface details down cold over 12 years ago, so it feels like either the folks at HMG either don't know better, couldn't match par for the course in 2022, or just gave up due to market deadlines. "Ship it!"
