Should I pull the trigger?

Hello I'm a soon to be EV6er and have a solid quote for a Runway Red GT-Line AWD with no dealer adds for $3510 below the MSRP and will use KIA Financing incentive of $3750 off so total is $51890 and then pay it off in a week. How can I say no to this deal? I must say I do love the car, but have been a bit of a toe dipper as I have been seeing some of the problems folks have had with their cars. I do want it though and will never buy a Tes%#. I need some encouragement.

I would go for it. My EV6 GT (three week old) is my third ev and out of the dozens of cars and trucks I've purchased over the past 58 years, the new Kia is, by far, my favorite. My white pearl was $7500 off sticker (had to do the required small finance amount to get the rebate), but was the color and options I wanted- snow white pearl, carpeted mats (would skip this if I could since I got the Kia all-weather liners anyway), cargo tray(handy to make the floor flat), sill lights(very nice), and interior light kit(not sure about $325, but neat to play with once I figured out how, since the dealer had no idea). The range is around 230, provided you keep your foot out of it (difficult to do). But, with the excess my solar panels deliver, I pretty much charge for free, so the GT mode gets regular use. Very nice car- get one!

I'll have to agree with everyone's replies. Pull the trigger. I was on the fence until I got mine about 2 months ago. My gf convinced me to finally get the car. It has good range and is a blast to drive.
It is a great car. I can highly recommend the car. I just wish Kia had dealerships to match as they are mostly terrible. Luckily you will rarely need to visit the dealerships for service as the EV6 rarely needs maintenance. Kia really needs to step up their game with dealerships if they expect to sell $50k+ cars.

Bought mine in December 2022 and AC already broke, 7000 miles in just beware.

A GT-Line is fairly top of the line. You won’t be sorry. That’s a great deal on a phenomenal car. I’ve had mine since June of ‘22 & have almost 17K miles on her! Best car I’ve ever owned.

This is what I thought until the ICCU failed after 13 months/10k. Waiting for parts no ETA in sight just yet.

This part is mind boggling, you would think they would have a US stockpile in keeping with the number of cars sold

They do for non critical components like badges ...

Some components are high value and in short supply. Badges are cheap and easy to manufacture. ICCUs not so much, for some reason there seems to be a higher failure rate on Ioniq5 or they are just a few months older and the plague might extend to Kia, will find out shortly.
I’m very happy with my 2023 EV6 GT-Line AWD, but I do wish there was better range. I’m not over the range/SOC anxiety and there aren’t enough charging locations on my usual long distance routes so a little more range would have been nice. I went with the AWD trim because has some features that are not available in the RWD, so anyone looking at them should keep that in mind. One thing that is a bit disappointing about my purchase is that the EV7 and EV9 aren’t available. I would have liked the extra space.
5 days since first and only post on the forum. No replies, no 👍🏻, nothing to indicate the are who they say they are. Maybe they are enjoying the EV6 so much, they don’t have time for anything else. Maybe they just wanted to see if anyone liked the EV6 and we aren’t all complainers. Maybe they are simply trolling us. 🧌 😈 ROFL

I stopped reading this thread 2, almost 3 days ago. I hope they come back and thank you all for your input, thoughts, and time. I, for one, am done reading this thread.

I just closed 3 days ago and was told you had to have at least 4 payments before you could pay off the loan so better make sure of the details. I also would recommend the RWD unless you are in a snow area.

Read your sales finance agreement! The finance agent at the dealership will tell you this often, even though it's not true. They want to make more finance credit... When I bought 2020 Kia Niro EV a couple of years back they gave a $5000.00 rebate for financing. I called Kia Financial about a week out and they gave me the payoff, no problems paying it off!

I found this in my contract. I have not even received the paperwork from Kia Finance so I will wait a few days. Loan is only $7K so even a first payment won't hurt me. Language: "You may prepay. You may prepay all or part of the unpaid part of the Amount Financed at any time without penalty."

And the $3750 rebate for financing should not be affected, right?
Three weeks ago I purchased a 2023 GT and they gave me the same song and dance about having to wait three months before I paid it off, otherwise, they claim, the dealer gets hit with a back charge- don't know how true this might be. Under Colorado law (and most states I suspect) they can not penalize the borrower for early payoff, but Kia may be able to zing the dealer. I'm going to wait a month, maybe two, and get the payoff amount and pay it through 'bill pay'.

Correct, Call on Tuesday when they open, and get the payoff. Get the check in the mail the same day... Remember, Car dealers are not your friend.

Are you kidding me!! That is a fantastic deal! When I was looking for an EV6 a year ago most dealers want 5-10K above list price. I found a dealer 3 hours away that sold mine for list price and I was thrilled! Wow what a difference a year will make.
Well Hello Everyone! Yes I Did Pull The Trigger. My wife and I hopped on the train and the dealer picked us up and we drove her home. I was very happy with the dealer. Weston Kia Gresham OR. Near Portland Oregon. They did ask that we wait 3 or 4 months to pay off the loan. I think I set a new world record. I paid off the loan when I woke up the next morning. Just had to enter bank info on KIA Finance website and make optional (other amount) payment. Total elapsed time of loan 14 hours after signing for the car. Thanks everyone for all the input. I am still going to keep probably worrying a bit about some of the bigger issues some have had regarding total loss of use of the car, long delays for parts, etc. but am really enjoying the car and charging at home. Already installed my Chargepoint Charger with a 60amp circuit so charging at 11.4 amps and got the two inserts for the center console thanks to posts on this board. Glad to finally made the jump to electric!

Congrats!! on the nice ride.
Don’t sweat the “problems” until they happen, if the do. Being aware of the possibilities should be enough. Oh, and lots of knocking on wood. LOL
