I was informed today by the dealership where I made the proposal to purchase the Kia EV6, that no more vehicles would be delivered this year. They also inform that they do not guarantee the maintenance of prices in 2023!
In March, during my 1st contact, it was explained to me that the delays were general because of the lack of components, as well as because of the war.
Given the fact that there was no urgency in delivering the vehicle, I accepted the explanations and decided to wait for the arrival of the vehicle (the new date was 01/06/2022).
What has happened since then is something unbelievable, surreal, and a lack of respect and consideration for customers!
My acquisition proposal was submitted in November 2021. In the United States, the EV6 only started marketing this year.
However, every month more than 2000 EV6 go to the United States, that is, proposals made on dates much later than mine.
About 3 months ago, in a report on TV about delays in the delivery of new cars, while most brands admitted difficulties with the situation, the CEO of Astara appears, with KIA vehicles behind him, saying that no, that the delays were minimal, a few weeks!
I have also checked the delivery in Europe of several EV6, whose proposals were made months after mine!
I have some friends/colleagues who bought new electric vehicles (luckily for them, they didn't choose KIA), and they've had them for months!
In short, KIA is showing off to customers in Portugal, the Distributor, in addition to lying about deadlines, is submissive and subservient, by allowing other countries to receive the vehicles that were ordered at much later dates!
Instead of trying to solve the problem and talk to customers, what KIA does is postpone the dates (it was 01/04, it changed to 01/06, 02/08, and now 2023!), without paying the slightest attention to the client. On the contrary, they don't know when they deliver the car, but they already warn that it will probably be more expensive!
They are even advising dealers to return the signal that customers gave!
They are doing everything to drive customers away, instead of trying to retain them!
