I took a look around and found a little bit about this on the "Meridian review" thread, but wanted to either get elaboration or update....

I've ordered my EV6 and am curious about using my ipod. It worked with bluetooth, but during the test drive I tried to hook the ipod up through the cord into that USB-A and it wasn't recognized.

Has there been any update or success by anyone else to use the wired connection? Or are we stuck with using bluetooth for an iPod?

Bluetooth. It doesn’t recognize my iPod Nano either. I don’t think the EV6 had iPod integration.
I now alternate between my phone (wired connection) or Bluetooth (either phone or iPod)

So far I'm finding the same info from another message board. I reluctantly downloaded my music onto the iPhone in preparation of the limitation. If only I could find a way to make the EV6 to think the iPod is just a USB stick.
