Unless one has a rock-solid understanding of single-phase 3 wire residential wiring schemes then it's probably best not to deviate from purpose-built solutions.

I rather doubt Kia engineers intended for EV owners to back feed their service panels using their cars, regardless of whatever safety interlocks are in place. For one thing, the EV6 offers only 120 VAC at 15A -- basically a single residential circuit.

With the efficiency of portable LED lighting and long-running battery powered electronics, the need to energize a number of receptacles scattered about a residential dwelling during a power outage has diminished considerably.

The only thing we'd ever need to power during an outage using our EV6 would be the fridge, microwave oven, and toaster oven (and only one at a time). For that, I'll run a 12 gauge extension cord from the garage to the kitchen. We have a propane camp stove for cooking. That's got us covered.
