With such a high tech car, it’s disappointing we don’t have wireless CarPlay, not to mention we resting for a charge can’t pass the time and stream Netflix, YouTube etc.. like our Tesla Counterparts. The only workaround is a CarPlay android AI box. Unfortunately, these devices are buggy and tend to have slow start up times, arbitrary disconnects or slow performance.
I recently went to Amazon and purchased a box with highest number of reviews with a 4.5 star rating. It by Binize and runs Android 9.0. It too has issue as it occasionally doesn’t start, occasionally won’t connect while making a call and I can’t get Netflix to run. Although it is imperfect I question if this is as good as it gets with these devices, as I have had others in the past and they had greater issues than this device. If you have or know of any CarPlay Android box that works well with the EV6 please share your experience and recommendation.

Search is your friend here, specifically for an AA box review by @TechnicallyJeff. I’d look and give you the link, but why deprive you of the pleasure of looking for it. 🤣😂🤪

Ok, here it is.

I don’t watch videos and the like, but many of us use CarLinKit v3.0 for wireless AA and/or CarPlay. It works great for me.

Be aware if you use Apple CarPlay. The one @TechnicallyJeff recommended was a flat-out fail for me. I finally got the MMB 11 CarPlay Box, which generally works. Coming from the iOS world, it seems a little fidgety to get things to work. But I can watch ESPN while my wife is shopping... :)
What didn't work for you with the One Car Stereo AI Box?

Thanks. I am familiar with the One Car Stereo AI Box and the discount you can receive if you enter the promotional code. Unfortunately, it only has 18 reviews on Amazon and the rating is only 3.9 stars. Thus, I wanted to turn to the forum owners personal experiences with the CarPlay Android AI Boxes.

I will say my experience with the One Car Stereo AI Box has been great. I'm running Nova launcher (very popular Android launcher) so I can customize it some. I adjusted the min width in the android developer settings to about 600 I believe which makes things fit nicely. I've used it to watch HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube, etc and it works well. I just connect to my phone's mobile hotspot. I also use it with my Bluetooth obd2 adapter and run car scanner on it which works well too.
