My installer says their Llumar Air Clear 80 does not affect the HUD. Said they have installed it on other cars with HUD with no problems. I’ll find out this Friday, 2/18.

They are filming the moonroof so I can open it in the, at times, brutal Las Vegas sun. No additional tint, just more UV/IR heat coverage.

I’m getting PPF on the bumper, lights, fenders, wheel arches to the front doors, mirrors, and hood

Finally, they are throwing in Plastidip for the emblems. They are going to try the small EV6 on the tailgate, but said it might not work due to its small size. I blacked out the emblems on my previous white car and they look great. I’m hoping it will look like the photoshopped pictures Logicpro8 posted here.

 

Take some pictures of the HUD after the Llumar 80 please. I was curious on this with the HUD. I’ve used the LLumar previously on a Honda Accord and a Prius and it’s great. Especially on the Prius with the large slanted windshield.

 

I will take pictures of the HUD and whole vehicle. And obviously I meant 3/18, not 2/18 LOL

I used the Air 80 on my 2017 Volt as well, and it was great as well. It didn't have a HUD, but it did keep the windshield significantly cooler.

In doing some research, I found that Llumar and SunTek are the same product, just different packaging and distribution.

 

Got my car back late today, so no pictures, maybe tomorrow LOL There is no change in the HUD. They didn’t have time to do the emblem blackout so I go back next week for that. Yes, I could do it myself, but this way they are responsible for it. LOL

Where did you go to get all of this done? I'm looking to get the PPF and interested in the windshield tint as well, but I'm having trouble finding a good place.

 

don't think it would affect it, its blurry straight from factory lol!

 

If your HUD is blurry, make sure the factory protective film has been removed (surprising how many dealerships forget), clean it and the windshield with a streak-free cleaner and micro-fiber cloth (detailers will forget to do this) and check the alignment in the settings.
