Maybe try unpairing your iPhone and re-pairing it?

Easiest work around is just say Siri whether in CarPlay or just using bluetooth, all features phone are now available and if plug in to media outlet you will have CarPlay at your disposal. If end up like me and have given up the paid subscription of kia connect this will be your goto method. I found the Voice Commands buggy in the Kia from day one. Once I asked for directions for a town in Virginia and was given options for towns in Germany. I do not the believe the Kia is water capable or able to fly as of yet.
