I am 6’6” and can definitely move the front seats far enough forward so that I don’t even have to lie diagonally. Problem is I need something to fill the space between the back and front seats for me to do this. No idea what that will be yet.

Donald, you are the man! Thanks for the suggestions. The second one seems the right shape. I will have to check out the dimensions. Now can you find me some privacy curtains as well? 😃
You are welcome! Picking up my car next week and am going on an immediate road trip with camping possibilities. I am looking for privacy shades and a mattress that fits. Seen a guy use Tesla door and quarter glass window shades and they seem to be acceptable. Seems like it would be pretty simple to make some shades and I may custom cut a piece of foam for a temporary bed solution.

Let me not answer your question by sharing that I did a road trip in a 2012 Prius from chicago across the country to SoCal via Washington DC- Savannah GA - Arkansas - Las Vegas and arrived home in CA. It was in the winter months and I stayed in Walmart parking lots. I had purchased suction cup mounted shades for all windows and left the car on with the heat set to as low as possible sleeping in a winter sleeping bag. I’m 6’3” and purchased a nice hard side cooler that lived in the back seat floor with the front passenger seat moved forward. When it was time to sleep I folded the rear seats down and took the cooler I used for food and placed it in the foot well, added a few deck chair cushions to bring the level up and slept comfortably. I’d climb in the back door and laid down, reach up front and lock the doors. Heat would be low slowly draining the battery, engine would kick on now and again to charge the battery and then turn off. It was tricky finding showers but truck stops and local gyms worked out well. Best of luck!

I don’t own an EV6 yet but these might work? Looks like $250 for a full set Windshield Sun Shades, Car Window Shades and Car Window Covers by HeatShield: The Original Windshield Sun Shade

Luno Air Mattress with Base Extenders between front and rear seats!
When I get my car and measure that space, I will search for plastic storage bins that fit as another option.

Paint protection going on this week and 2000 mile road trip starting June 12. Will include camping, golf and a drive on America’s Loneliest Road. I think this will work for me. Easy to adjust the amount of inflation and doubles as a lounger!

Road Trip Observations
2700 miles. 3.2 m/kWh
I am 6’2”. Very comfortable driving position. Legroom!
HDA2 has made driving very enjoyable. We have a Palisade with HDA and the EV6 lane
keep is more precise. In high winds, the car sticks to the middle of the road while others are being blown out of their lane. During torrential rain, the car can see the lane lines and the traffic, even if you can’t. When the road is empty and the only thing you have to worry about is an animal darting in front of you, you can really be the tourist, checking out the scenery while lightly gripping the steering wheel and barely having to move the wheel when the Keep Hands On warning chimes. I found out I am a go leftter. I caught myself numerous times with lane keep assist on tugging the steering wheel slightly to the left because I wanted to be closer to the lane line. I learned to let the car keep itself in the center of the lane. The cruise control recognizes changes in speed limit and automatically slows down or speeds up the car. The navigation based cruise control slows the car down around tight corners. On surface streets, I find the cruise control and lane keep assist very useful. Barely have to touch the power or brake pedals. We have a 2021 BMW X3 that has trouble with this. The lane change assist works.
I learned to be precise when using the air conditioning and radio controls. Too many times I accidentally turned on the seat heater or the back glass defroster or the front defogger or the air recirculation mode.
The chrome on the front of the center console was blinding me, so I covered it up with some fake carbon fiber.
Charging is a pleasure. Never had any range anxiety. I enjoyed pulling up to a charging station, plugging in and meeting the driver of a Polestar, or Tesla or Rivian, etc. and then waving bye-bye when I leave a few minutes later and they’re still charging. I could not get the first two CalTrans free chargers to flow electricity but the third one worked fine. I love free power!
Camping was wonderful. KOA campgrounds are great because you can plug in. The sleep app on my watch told me my best nights sleep were in the car. Did not need the body bag. A cooler, some luggage and a couple of other items in the second row footwell made the perfect height for the bed. Even though temperatures dropped into the high 30s, I never needed the heater during the night, never used Utility Mode.

It's hard to see under the sleeping bag. I had plenty of room, albeit with a little platform spanning the gap behind the front seat.
After reading my post, I should mention that I’ve learned that it’s not safe to use cruise control and lane keep in torrential rain.
Be safe!
