Note that there are four additional shutters above the ones highlighted in the photo in post #21 as well...
Yep I found that and yes, the flaps on the drivers side were not functioning. I was able to manually move them back and forth but it didn’t clear the alert. The next day the alert was gone. So I’ll see if it comes back but it seems that this was the issue.

Got this one tonight. Freaked out when I turned my car on and saw this ominous warning!

Jiggled the bits, but so far the error is still there. Happened to have an appointment scheduled for Monday to drop off for something else so we'll see what they say.

Morning update: warning is cleared.

Had not seen this until now and know what problem was but exactly same message which did not impact vehicle. Managed to get it in at dealership and problem was exactly as described with air shutter being partially obstructed by unseen small debris. Removed and warning resolved. Will be sure to inspect there again if recurs.

Quite literally just pushed up on the grille vents a little bit. Not forcefully, just lightly poking upward. I can only assume that either something small had lodged in mine, or whatever mechanism that moves them got slightly out of adjustment.

Thanks for that -I’ll give a slight nudge, and report back. ( Maybe it was caused at the car wash?)

Thanks! Just happened to us this morning (Chicago area, and it has been a mild winter and the car is mostly parked indoors so I was wondering what could be wrong. Only 1400 miles on the odometer too!)

Will try checking the vents tonight and also wait it out a few days, glad to know I didn't just go to a dealer right away.

Update: did this while in a parking lot and the error immediately disappeared

I didn't realise that I had this problem till I took my EV6 for its first service. The dealer told me that the harness connector to the front grill was loose and all they did was tighten it up.

I had the same problem recur recently. In the meantime, it appears that Hyundai have identified this problem to occur with the IONIQ5's that were manufactured around April 2022. They have recommended that the flap actuator for the grill be replaced under warranty. Incidentally, my KIA EV6 was built in April 2022. I have taken my KIA to the dealer in Sydney, and after seeing that there was a history of this problem, they have agreed to replace the part under warranty. I am booked in to have the work done in a couple of days.....

Mine just recurred as well. Out of curiosity, was the problem still showing when you took the car for warranty service? I also have a screenshot and a photo in case they need proof.

I had unplugged the actuator and replugged it in after cleaning with 99% isopropyl alcohol. The problem did not recur until I took it back to the dealer. For some bureaucratic reason it was actually cheaper to replace the whole assembly (louvres and actuator) than to replace the actuator itself. Go figure....
