Those front lights are even uglier than I thought. There is a design theory that's being pushed that edgy and non-conformist designs (ala Cybertruck) will cause immediate sales of a product because of the "newness" psychological demand rush found in humans. While this holds true for a hot second, humans will then be quick to dismiss it and settle back into their comfort zone of traditionality. This has been shown to be the case for car models going back to the 90s with the Ford Probe, Pontiac Aztek, etc., up through the Cybertruck. Hot initial sellers because they were different and then sales quickly dove. Kia's entire new lineup is banking on this theory. Combined with the drop in the EV sales rate in the US and removal of EV credits on the horizon, it does not look good for Kia.
