I'm 100% convinced you don't understand sarcasm. You actually thought I literally meant there's only one software guy at HMG?!! It certainly appears that way based on the update rollouts... Wait, am I explaining sarcasm here? Ugh sorry.
"It certainly appears that way based on the update rollouts..."

I don't disagree with your sarcastic comment (it may be 3-6:geek:).....methinks that their software group is trying to make software for all models that integrates through out their model lineup and thus keeps running into issues rather than have a 'dedicated' team working on the EV software due to the differences created by the needs and abilities inherent in an EV.

Personally, I'm also concerned that, with the new ccNc (sp?) system that is rolling out for all new Kia EV's, including the new '25 EV6, our 'older' Gen 5 system (along with the internal operating software) in the EV6 will be relegated to the bleary envelopes of yesterday. I believe we shall see little of updates/improvements or new updated software on our '22-'24 EV6's, unlike the Tesla system (which, along with charging access, are their only advantages at this point).

OTOH, I hope I'm wrong and hope they keep our vehicles fully supported. If they don't, I'm not sure I would consider an HMG vehicle in the future, in spite of how much I love the vehicle.

I agree with your point that it's a legacy automotive issue (i.e., they don't know how to handle EVs in their lineup and are attempting integration as opposed to separate roadmaps). However, the other manufacturers like GM and Ford are acknowledging their weakness and certainly VW is due to their recent Rivian cash injection. And I'm with you - between the less appealing design language and lack of dedication to software (which they should know are vital to the EV ecosystem), I'm fairly certain I will not get another HMG EV. If VW/Rivian partnership can come up with an equivalent EV6 style (large roomy hatchback) take my money, VW/Audi.

We'll see what Hyundai has to show with its new EM EV platform which is supposed to debut at the end of next year with the GV90. Is it going to be another half-assed attempt like ccNC/ccOS or will it be true next-gen software?

Interesting and looks nice with the squared off roomy storage in the rear.... But...
"Annual production volumes stated in the RFQ are 210,000 units for the GV90, 68,000 for the GV80, 40,000 for the GV70 and 51,000 for the GV80, they said."

On what planet! 😂

Considering they're still supporting 2015 vehicles which appears to be Gen 2 units (We're Gen 5, specifically Gen 5W or wide), I think we're ok for at least 10 years.

Great question, and I don't think anyone knows if the HMG cars are set up or not.
I am from Romania (EU) and we have one charging service provider on our local market (El Drive, available in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Lithuania as well) that allows Plug and Charge.
Most EV's can do that, they have to activate it from their system after you have completed one successful charge and confirm that you want this type of service (over email or phone).
Some sort of unique ID (not the VIN, they told me...) is stored in their database and linked to your account that you use to log in using a mobile app. And since you have the credit card also associated inside the app... the payment is just processed exactly like a tesla charging session.
I can confirm that the EV6 is compatible with this type of charging. It is just the charging providers that need to implement it.

Waiting for one final update where they had a much needed option to add emojis to the screen.
HMG is so out of touch with what people want. Nobody is saying they need to be like Tesla when it comes to software, but this is ridiculous... SoundCloud... ROFLOFL
