geeze your dealer is definitely giving it to you. I would talk them down on all three fees.

They get paid on you going on a financing plan, so thats an odd fee to tack on.

3k for ceramic and mats is way overpriced and probably crappy mats.

Who is the dealer if you dont mind me asking?

And add $7k for QC residents and $4k for B.C. residents and even though it has less equipment than the Telly SX, it costs less to buy and thus savings start immediately.
This is the closest an EV has come to being reasonably close to its ICE counterpart in price. And I also think OEMs need to respect that we are still tipping into a slowing economy if not a full on recession. The days of sticking it to the consumer on price, int rate, residual is slowing coming to an end. And I'd say, don't let the douchebag dealers stick you with a bunch of aftermarket charges you don't want.

I do think the BEV competition will continue to see headwinds and prices becoming more competitive going forward.

What kind of equipment are we talking about for Tally? I sat inside one before but don't know anything other than the seats inside and the longer range.
SX over the EV9 Land?
  • Moonroof
  • 20” alloys
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Driver seat memory
  • 2nd row sunshades
  • Premium audio
  • Digital Key 2
  • Ambient lighting
  • Blind View Monitor
  • Parking collision avoidance - rear (PCA-R)

I didn't make the reservation list but i put a deposit down back in Jan with my local Kia dealer. Luckily they are a new dealership and don't have alot of reservations for the ev9 so there telling me I can expect mine end of this year/early next year.

They want $3k above msrp but are adding ceramic coat, interior protection, mats, trunk tray etc. He's sales pitch was were adding value for the mark up for things we found customers usually get anyways after the sale. Also that other dealers just do a mark up without anything added. You can argue maybe all that is worth $1500 on the high end so there tacking on another $1500.

They also have a $899 doc and a $699 finance fee which is a nice little cash grab too.

I'm not sure what to do. Is it worth it trying to haggle them down considering I don't have to wait long and am most likely going to be getting it sooner then later?
Hey @Johnnyd1881 welcome to the forum! I would definitely try and speak to them about these fees because that seems like a lot. Which EV9 model are you trying to get?

Damn I put a deposit in July at the Kia in Maple ridge, they won't tell me where I am in the list I thought I would be high up but I didn't think that many people would know about the Ev9 until now. They told me they will be handing out pre-sale units first starting the end of this year, then reservations in early Spring.

I'd say 3k markup isn't bad if you're getting a bunch of addons, dealers here in Langley/Mapleridge are marking up EV6s, 5-10grand and you get nothing extra.

Reserve one in Chilliwack you want my sales guy number ? You'll have it in Q1 for sure with little mark up.

I preordered the Land and am one of the lucky 527 that managed to get a spot. Now that the pricing is out, I would like to upgrade my choice to include the premium package, has anyone had any luck doing that? I am a little afraid that this will somehow give my dealer an out and enable him to charge more than MSRP since it's a "change". I'm in Ontario.

I picked red, and now I regret it. Part of the reason for upgrading would be to be able to get the Ocean Blue :) It's so beautiful!

Based on the FAQ for the online reservation process, any changes after August 6th will not be able to be done.

The premium package seems fairly pricey for what you are getting or am I crazy on that. Also, anyone else notice a 3K destination fee on Kia's website. Looks like some of the extra margin was put there to help keep the msrp low enough for incentives.

I have a reserved an land premium from the begining, ocean blue. I kinda knew the ocean blue is special for premium trim at the begining.
Hopefully your dealer will have more allocation for you to choose; to upgrade.
What's your secondary color choice, if not blue?

Looking at what the package offers versus the land without:

-20 inch rims
-differentiated headlights
-laminated glass (front and rear)
-dual sunroof
-digital grill
-auto dimming side mirrors
-memory seats
-captain chairs
-heated and ventilated 2nd row
-driver relaxation seat
-door scuff plates
-rear shades
-electronic tilt and telescope steering wheel
-14 speakers
-mood lighting
-digital rearview mirror
-etc

I would say its worth it

I guess I'll learn to love the red :p
or you can wrap the car with frosted vinyl. that will makes the car

10000$CAD extra seems lot.
However, I would think, kia can actually accomondate another option for land:
  • Land no package
  • Land tech + 5000
  • Land premium +10000
  • Land GTline. + 14000

I think the change from land no pack to premium 10000$ is huge step up.

I suppose to some it may be. I just don't see the value their. For the I5 the 'ultimate' package was priced in a way that just made it a no brainer. Here I don't see the same value.
