I would vote for an autonomous driving package better than Tesla's.

 

Are they talking about Highway Pilot Assist? (Next Gen after HDA) or something further down the line?

Special editions are cool but make it more than just badges and special floor mats. The FEs weren’t that great tbh. Glad Canada didn’t follow suit and just gave us the fully loaded GT-L 2 as our pre-order vehicle.

 

Right... if you're gonna do a "special edition" and charge more for it... you can't use the LOWER trim body style and interior/seats and then slap a few cheap badges on the center console...lol

 

You are essentially paying attention to "someone else" driving. This is a feature for those who hate to drive.

 

I don't trust them yet! plus I loved to drive, who wants to sit back and be taxied about... no thanks.

I'd rather Kia bring the tech. Leave the eye-candy to the aftermarket. One of the things that originally attracted me to Kia was the options and features that rivaled the high end market. Sure, innovating can be expensive but manufacturers need to keep the pressure on the competition and not settle. Kia needs to keep pushing the tech envelope.

 

The single best improvement Kia could make at this point would be to hire skilled UI/UX engineers for the infotainment/nav/dash.

 

 

As a fan of 1977-81 Trans Am black and gold special editions and the movie Smokey and The Bandit, would it be acceptable to put a gold screaming chicken decal on the hood of the EV6 black and gold special edition?

Wow, thinking about streamlining the trim levels already? Is the chip shortage really that bad? I thought we're already in the midst of the worst of the shortage.

Alternatively, they could decontent the Wind and then have an option package to add all that stuff back to offer a lower price. But of course, that means more combinations and potentially more cost. Special editions get them more money with very little increase in costs.

 

I would be more happy to pay 7k more for additional battery size and higher EPA. What this vehicle actually needs. Even if i have to sacrifice charging speed. 400+ miles in good weather and easily 250 miles using 70% SOC in extreme weather conditions. I will even accept lower acceleration because of additional weight. BMW is already testing and working on BEV vehicles capable going 1200 km between charging. And I'm quite confident that BMW M engineer that works now at Kia is actually looking for push in this direction.

I received a survey email back in late June from "KIa America Survey Team" titled, "Tell us about your 2022 Kia EV6"; it came with an offer of a $20 Amazon e-gift card for completing the survey. I want to say that one of the survey questions was about whether I'd be interested in paying extra for an autonomous driving package or something to that effect.

Still waiting on my Amazon GC...

 

I got a survey from Kia a month or so ago asking me stuff like "Would you be interested in the option to add a full glass roof" or "Would you be interested in an option to add the 20" tires to the RWD Gt-Line trim?" and those types of questions.

 

I would like to have sentry mode for the cameras.
