The range is always an estimate based on your driving habits. They probably did a software update that reset your “guess-o-meter” or changed the algorithm. If driving to the shop is on roads that make you drive differently from your normal habits then the range guess is going to be biased to that for awhile.
You can get a rough idea of your true performance by keeping track of the mileage and the battery percentage - although even that is a bit of a guess.
It is an outside possibility that they did a horrible alignment job, so keep an eye on your tires.
